Polamalu out for game

Madden 10 coverboy, Troy Polamalu, was hurt tonight during the opening night of the 2010 NFL season. Polamalu has an MCL sprain in his left knee. Coach Mike Tomlin speculated Polamalu could be out three to six weeks.

hahaha yea i saw that. But polamalu was a beast was all over the field. Titans could only score when he got hurt. Insane one handed interception polamalu had it all. But then he got struck with the curse. Larry Fitzerald is next

This curse always strikes. The last Madden I got was 04 which had...... Mike Vick. So yea, it never fails. Even last year with Favre going to Jets and missing the playoffs.

It's just amazing how this KEEPS happening. If something actually does happen with Fitz, perhaps players are just going to stop allowing themselves to be used on that cover.

But being a Bears fan, I'd love to see an Adrian Peterson/Aaron Rodgers combo cover :)

Though I hate the Madden games. I can honestly say that Madden gamers have an air of comradery about them. Must be the sportsmanship side that the majority here never learned growing up.

Wow, didn't even think about this until I saw the article. The Madden curse is so persistent, but if you think about it a lot of players in the NFL get hurt quite often so there is more of a chance of it happening. But it's been 9 years of this curse, I believe dating back to Eddie George on the cover of 01, which I think was injured that year and was never the same again and might have even stopped playing, I can't remember for sure. I'm a huge Steelers fan and should have seen this coming when they announced Madden 10!!!:P

Off topic, Steelers played an awesome game. Proud to be a fan. Like it has been said before, Polamalu is a beast and he will return in a few weeks most likely. For the short time he was in he probably led the defense in most stats. He played that great for the short time he was in.

As for Fitzgerald, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a player and a person. He is humble yet one of the greatest players I've ever seen. The man just does not drop the football. Been watching him since his freshman year of college at Pitt U. You could triple team that guy his freshman year and he would still come down with the ball. He is about making the team better and winning for his team, just like Polamalu and most of the other Steelers. So here is to hoping that this injury is as far as this Madden curse goes this year, because both of these guys are what makes football great and it's a shame to see anyone with the amount of talent they have sitting out because of an injury.

Too bad his leg got caught but knowing his work ethics, he will be back soon. Im not a steeler fan but its good to see one of my island brothers finally putting us on the map in the nfl, especially the madden cover. No doubt he will be back sooner then most players because of the passion he has for the game. Polamalu FTW.

Now hope this doesnt happen to fitzerald but since hes playing my team on sunday. He better BEWARE of my boy "Patrick Willis" roaming the field or he might get hurt. Also look out for my other boy who is the starting free safety now "Dashon Goldson" because if your not careful in the middle expect to be wheeled off in a cart when he puts u to sleep. Hes in my opinion the next "Steve Atwater". Maybe not as hard of a hitter but he does hit extremely hard.
