Exactly! This is why I love Sony and its first/second parties! They innovate and improve the progression of video games development. I remember back in the days when I used to play Super Mario World, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, etc. I have always thought to myself how great it'd be to play video games that are like movies. And this is exactly what Sony have been doing.

They created a new experience for gamers. And so far for this generation, a majority of PS3 games are like an interactive movie. You're getting the best of both world! A good acting and story along with fantastic gameplay. What more can you ask for?

List of games that I thought are somewhat of an interactive movies:
Heavenly Sword
Uncharted
Metal Gear Solid 4
Killzone 2
Valkyria Chronicle (like an anime movie!)

The music in that trailer is beautiful, not to mention the characters' face expressions, and breath taking environments...that is why Naughty Dog and Sony have earned my respect and gratitude for what they have done to bring us those gems (Uncharted and Uncharted 2).

This is probably my most anticipated game this year. Actually...no probably about it. Definitely. This game is going to be epic. Just like the first one was an amazing experience. I'm going to have to go back and play the first game when we edge a lil closer to the release of UC2 just to truly and fully build up for the epic experience that will be UC2. And god does this game look good.

As for the trailer, just....wow. Truly is riveting. On par really with truly epic Hollywood movie trailer. God I can't wait. Just two more months. The game is going to be amazing. An unforgettable adventure that I can't wait for.

I don't know about Heavy Rain, I think the main character models were impressive but I wasn't very impressed with the physics or the environment. I'm a little glad it got pushed back so they can polish it more. However Uncharted 2 continues to impress me! I think the most impressive future PS3 games are in this order, from what I've seen at least:

1. Uncharted 2
2. GT5
3. The Last Guardian
4. GOWIII
5. Heavy Rain - Ratchat and Clank Future 2 (couldn't decide)

Alan Wake doesn't even look as good as Killzone 2 forget Uncharted 2... The in game footage of Uncharted 2 blows AW out of the water. Those vibrant colors look awesome.... AW has only shown nighttime videos... So I am comparing it to KZ2 (since it's dark in KZ2 as well) and it falls short of that....

Comparing AW to Alone in the Dark is a better gauge.

It is still using the engine for the game which use the spu's alot, its not like its a cgi movie. The cutscenes look just as good as the game except they are acted out using real people. Honestly I dnt know how you can compare a very very dark game such as Alan wake to uncharted. Well atleast its uncharted 1 and not uncharted 2.

they're pre-rendered (not realtime, so technically yes it is cgi) and so is uncharted2's.

∧∧∧∧ Talk about being butthurt about the price cut.... Boy kid just look at Uncharted 2 gameplay videos and then compare them to AW. UC2 is far better looking... Nathan Drake is the most detailed character till date (25000 polygons). The game posts the best visuals till date.

Guess what, just go to Uncharted 2 official site and see the amount of 'Best looking game of E3' awards it has won... Yup the number is greater than all the 360 games combined... Hell GOW3 took more awards than AW. Why the hell did the critics rate UC2 > AW in graphics huh? Every site rated UC2 as the best looking game of E3.... Tell me 1 site which rated AW as the best looking game and I will post 5 more sites that rated UC2.

Above everything else, I think Naughty Dog created a very special character with Drake. He's witty and a little sardonic sometimes, but has good morals. He's not perfect, he stumbles a lot and struggles, yet is always heroic and dependable. Overall, a very likable character. I can't wait to see what he goes through this time.

i didn't find the first one very hard, its an enjoyable game none the less, but i basically walked through it without care, (yes on the hardest diff. setting before you even ask) great movie like quality story and graphics just hope its harder make it a little funner for me. But even if not, i'll still get it cause naughty dog did their homework when it came to making a game for the ps3

I personally thought that hard and crushing were just right in terms of difficulty. No, it's not DMC3 or Ninja Gaiden Sigma/Black, but that level of difficulty is very niche and most people don't like it. Also, on Crushing, the only thing that kept it from being extremely difficult was that the checkpoints were a little too frequent. I'm not complaining, because I liked the level of difficulty, but for people like you (who I can't imagine likes very many games, considering on Crushing it's harder than 90% of the games out there), maybe they should offer the option to turn off checkpoints, so if you die, you start over...would that satisfy you?

looks like they were serious about making the game darker it sounds like drake is throwing in the towel it looks like the challenges he faces in this game are much bigger then the first. to me the uncharted games are the best games this gen graphics(best graphics on a console), story(10-12 hours longer then first), gameplay, great characters, multiplayer(3 co-op modes and 3 competitive modes) also in one interview i read they have deleted/alternate scenes on the disk so we don't have buy them later plus lots of other things like character skins and behind the scenes stuff like VO acting with the cast out all the games this gen so far this one delivers on everything.

Wow, Naughty Dog is certainly the best PS3 developer at the moment, creating graphics that are (arguably) unsurpassed by any others on the system. If they evolve the gameplay from Uncharted 1, this may be a contender for game of the year.

But one person that should also be given praise to is Greg Edmonson, the composer. After giving a memorable theme to the first Uncharted, he continues this greatness by creating the wonderful, emotional music witnessed in this trailer, which, I'm sure, is just a precursor to to a score for Uncharted 2 that matches the music from movies. Seriously, this guy deserves to score big films (while still being able to score the Uncharted series of course!).

For me, this is either a rent or buy (no split-screen so slightly I'm hesistant to purchase this game).

PS: Please don't mistake MGS4 with Halo 3. Because unlike Halo 3, MGS4 was not sub-HD. And unlike you I've actually played the game, and I can tell you its better than anything that has come out on 360.
