From Gamertell:
"Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a pretty good idea, because the development team of the original was pretty limited by the technology at the time. This re-imagining of the original game is coming out for the Wii, PS2 and PSP.
The PS2 choice might be a questionable one, at least...
Putting it out for all of the current generation consoles, rather than one last generation console, with the development of motion sensitivity across the board would've been wiser. It would allow for graphics to be further built up to draw the player into the world."
The Nerd Stash: "Looking to make some quick cash? Have some old Wii games lying around? Well, why not take a gander at our list of rarest Nintendo Wii games?"
The Nerd Stash: “A list of the rarest games for the PS2, all with hefty price tags worth a fortune 25 years after the console first hit shelves.”
I found Haunted Grounds still sealed at a Salvation Army store, but it's the PAL version lol.
I have some of these games but I have played them. Still worth a good amount though and they’re in great condition.
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.
How are you supposed to be frightened by a tiny screen on the bus or on the go? It's plain this should be 100% Wii exclusive.. i';m guessing their publisher just didn't have the balls to take the chance and are doing psp and ps2 for damage control or something.
This article makes no sense whatsoever to me.
If I understand....
Put a game with below 360/PS3 standard visuals out for those consoles with the promise to patch in motion controls that may or may not work since the tech isn't even ready and wasn't announced until after the game had already been under development for a while? All of that instead of banking on the highest selling console ever made?
Maybe someone could explain this to me?
I believe they should just focus on a Wii version. They should do this so the development is 100% focused on the Wii. From what I've seen, the game looks like a PSP game, and has a small draw distance. I hope to see more improvements.
Well like it or not Silent Hill is synonymous with the playstation brand, and that's where it sells the most still, so they're going to put in on PlayStationn.
oh no, 360 fanboy will have to buy something Sony or Nintendo
