Factor 5 lawsuit reveals canned Rogue Squadron Wii

I'm not sure about that. They left the Wii when they could have shinned all along just to get treated like dogs on the other platform.

Did you notice how they basically made a game in very little time with the PS like it was just like the GC LOL. This was almost a problem since SONY was still claiming that the cell had so much potential. Yet they pretty much tapped a lot of it like it was just sitting there.

Seriously the game looked good and the draw distance puts GTA to shame along with killzone yet they did not realize it is a FPS only club. Then the patch was basically buried. WOW.... it's safe to say they could get another publishing deal after this one.

I still wonder if these guys could beat HVS's engine they need some more competition.

Rogue Squadron on 64 was one of the most enjoyable games I ever played on the system. It would be awesome if a sequel was made for Wii.

Rogue Squadron always has been a nintendo system franchise. People like you need to get over the fact that nintendo has many many good franchises that will never come to your idea of a "next gen system" at least until nintendo goes HD.

PS3 and 360 are last gen. Wii is the only next gen. However the PS3 and 360 are both rushing to be part of the same generation as Wii, because they both have their own version of motion controls on the way... Now if Wii was last gen, why would Sony and MS be investing in the same kind of technology for the future of their own consoles?

Well, the stuff was transferred (albeit illegally) to someone else, so perhaps it's still in the works (as long as this lawsuit doesn't shut it down), we may still get Rogue Squadron for the Wii.

i would love to see another rogue squadron .i hate that they had to close their doors factor 5 should have made lair multiplatform. that would have been an extra 2 million games sold on the 360. i wanted to see more projects from them

Unfortunately yes, people are claiming Lair was the game that really destroyed them, how true that is, I don't know.

Let this be made... Rogue squadron has never dropped the ball and has a sterling record in my opinion. Every Nintendo console since N64 has had a Rogue Squadron game. The wii totally needs that. Plus it would be fantastic way for Factor 5 to show Hd whiners what kind of an improvement over GC the wii is. Rogue squadron was known for pushing the GC to it's graphical limits and was a masterpiece of modern gaming. C'mon Factor 5 Germany... do this one up! You know it will be an instant million seller on wii.

The problem is factor 5 was the ones whining about the audio actually I believe. They wanted to flex muscles with the HD guys and got hyped and black balled at the same time. Yes the nintendo hate goes that deep it seems.

It doesnt say anywhere that the game was canceled... Even the original article poses it as a ?. It looks like work on the game will continue with the original group at a new locations. The suit claims they transferred the assets to another company that they ran.
