The remastered versions of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 have been leaked via PlayStation Network.

The problem is to many remasters of games that don't need them. Broken Sword, Resident Evil remakes, Tomb Raider etc are fine as they're mostly trapped on older systems but PS5 remasters of PS4 games on a console that has full backwards compatibility most certainly ain't. People are starting to call Sony out for it and I feel tonights SOP is only going to continue to add to that anger with the pretty much confirmed HZD & Days Gone remasters.

More remasters means more anger from fans.. until now not a single reason to own a Pro.

This has to be one of the laziest remasters I've seen, when they were going back and forth between the original and the remastered, it was hard to tell at times. They could have at least added some good lighting.

I should have guess this was going to happen as the Evercade recently got the Legacy of Kain collection as well as the Tomb Raider collection. both of which are the PS1 originals and there is a Tomb Raider remasterd collection coming soon... Legacy of Kain getting the same remastered treatment seemed like a dead giveaway.

That boss redesign @0:40 on this trailer actually looks pretty badass to me! I mean, considering the scope of this Remaster, they did a good job of really making him pop in a new way. That's a lot more detail than the original.

When I was playing Astrobot just a day or two ago, I was roaming around the default planet where your ship is crashed, and I saw a guy sitting by himself. I hit him, and he did a spell thing and everything went dark, took me a second to realize it was RAZIEL!!!! I immediately got excited like I’d just discovered some secret Easter egg, but no hes just there chilling and the Legacy of Kain series was one of my favorites growing up.

Hell yeah love these games. People hate on remasters in comment sections but clearly people buy them or they wouldn’t be making them. I want new IP or sequels as well but I do like remasters. I hope the Days Gone remaster is legit

It's not necessarily that people don't like remasters, it's more that Sony is hardly showing anything new when they are known to be the drivers of new, IP, sequels, etc...

That and the fact that they are releasing the PRO, and nothing new was shown off yet(that may change this week), seems to be the gripe rather than the remasters/remakes.

Of all the potential remasters, the Soul Reaver games is something I love to see again. Thoroughly enjoyed them back in the days. Looking forward to revisiting the games once more.
