Warhawk in Space May Make E3 Appearence

PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "According to his twitter account, Dylan Jobe will be submitting a "milestone" build to SCEA by Friday. No game title was specified, but the newly formed Lightbox Interactive headed by Dylan Jobe has been rumored to be working on a "Warhawk in Space". Shortly after those rumors had surfaced SCEA trademarked the name Starhawk."

That'd be interesting to see what they've been up to lately. Been a while since the last Warhawk expansion pack...

I'd love to get my hands on more Warhawk, in space, underwater, it's all good!

DoucheVader3530d ago

I played it since BETA, bunches of fun, very well balanced. I can't wait to see what Dylan has up his sleeve!

I have a feeling that in would be a lot like Star Wars: Battlefront. Flying in space and then landing on ships to fight. I think that would be epic. I can't wait to see what kind of spacecraft they come up with.

w00t if it happens , if not I will recall these w00ts at a later date. Times are hard and w00ts don't grow on trees....Unless your really into produce.

lol, agreed Demonstalker. I really hope this is true, would make a great E3 even better. :)

What if we had a base on Earth and the other base in space?? And you fly to space? As your flying towards space, you can see the whole globe!
But then again, lets not bring up our hopes to much. We might end up being disappointed.

kinda remind me of Wing Commander for the PC. It would be awesome playing it in HD. I still remember playing WC when I was young.

solidt123529d ago

This would be cool. They can have space ship battles. Missles launching off planets and space stations. Space rovers... Man I think they are on to something.

MURKERR3529d ago

better graphics, larger maps just larger in scale imagine the possibilities to have warhawk in space...if sony show this their e3 showing will be hard to top

mastiffchild3529d ago

Murka-doodle-doo! You forgot that DJ has always said "if" he did another Warhawk that he'd also give us a SP to make up for the one ditched for the original. The story of the Eucadians and Chernovans spreading into Space? Could be a cool way to link the two MP portions, no?

Whatever, Warhawk's the mutts nuts and after crafting the best online game anywhere this gen-best learning curve, best gameplay, most varied gameplay, dedicted servers maintained well, fabulous community-the list of it's attributes is endless and the fact it's still packed at this minute speaks volumes.

Spacehawk? GReat big w00t!

Please be at E3 please be at E3 please be at E3 please be at E3

DoucheVader3529d ago

I feel ya. I do miss playing Battlefront II for those space battles. I am sure this will be much more robust.

You know Dylan will delivery a well rounded game engine.

J-Train3530d ago

Polluted3529d ago

Jesus Christ that's a lot of Warhawk. I loved the game too, but damn...

slave2Dcontroller3530d ago (Edited 3529d ago )

Warhawk was cool but I sold my copy after becoming frustrated. Warhawk has been the only PS3 game I have ever sold. I thought it was cool but by the time I got it everyone online was so advanced that I didnt have a chance in hell on learning how to play. No sooner than I was airbourne I was dead in the water.

I would love a new Warhawk but this time I hope they include a Single player mode that will allow me time to perfect and improve my skills as well as offer me an alternative gaming experience.

I prefer Single Player experiences over MP's any day of the week. I guess I'm in the minority on this but thats just how the kid rolls.
