Why 2009 Will Be The Year Of The Xbox 360 (Chapter Two: The MMO)

Master Samo writes: "As we continue our journey through the chapters of this article, we arrive at yet another reason for Microsoft's domination in 2009. That reason is the MMO genre. When compared to all the other genres, due to the never ending experience it delivers, the MMO provides the highest replay value possible. Furthermore, it is well known that MMO developers have been dreaming, for years, of the day in which they can finally see their creations unfold on consoles. But just as in the first "chapter" the author seems to be giving these game way too much credit. Section 8 is being developed by the same team the did the FEAR expansions, both of which had a poor to moderate reception. So, their track record is not something to get exited about.

Beyond that 360 release date are not known for, The Secret World, Huxley The Dystopia, and The Lord Of The Rings Online.

These games don't help to prove the point. They make it seem like the author is desperately looking for possible title that could possibly release some time this year. It gives off a "I did not murder him" vibe.

EDIT: To the author - I forgot to thank you for the post. Even though I don't agree with you, this is quality stuff. I hope that the rest of the writers on the site follow your example.

To all the readers, I thank you in advance for reading this article. I would like to present to you some of the Bits Of Information (BOI) that I was not able to include in this article. They are as follow:

BOI 1 ) Konami: the name "Konami" is a conjunction of the names Kagemasa Kouzuki (current chairman of the board and CEO), Yoshinobu Nakama, Tatuso Miyasako. Konami also means "small wave(s)" in the Japanese language.

BOI 2 ) Konami: is currently headquartered in Tokyo and additionally operates health and physical fitness clubs in Japan. It also operates United States activities in El Segundo, California for video games, and Paradise, Nevada for the gambling industry.

BOI 3 ) Sega: was founded in 1940 as Standard Games (later Service Games) in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States by Martin Bromely, Irving Bromberg, and James Humpert to provide coin-operated amusements for American servicemen on military bases. Bromely suggested that the company move to Tokyo, Japan in 1951 and in May 1952 "SErvice GAmes of Japan" was registered.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Information provided

God Bless You All
