Evidence PS3 may finally get a Fallout 3 DLC

Thanks to a deal struck with Microsoft, the Xbox 360 has been getting the royal treatment from Bethesda Software regarding Fallout 3. The console is set to receive three DLC contents with two already available for purchase. However, there are clues indicating that the PS3 may be receiving DLC for Fallout 3 soon as well.

Man this sound totally plausible, since M$ft only contracted for 3 DLC, it makes perfect sense that Bethesda would want to bring any DLC after the 3 to the PS3 as well.

If the 'new' DLC is anything like the previous on on 360/PC, no thanks.
My game got screwed over when I played it on my 360... the DLC was full of bugs..
(for the fanboys out there, yes the 360 DLC DID have major bugs/glitches.. if u believe otherwise so, go Google it and u'll see the facts support me)

I've already dled Fallout 3 for pc and playing, i game i would of bought for ps3, but with no software support like dlc turned me off from your game to actually pay for..

I really hope so. Why make content exclusive on one system. I know MS pays money, but the PS3 owners haven't got $h!t! Give them something.

skv: Funny I completed both of the DLC's with no problem. There was an issue with the second DLC but it was pulled and replaced and it worked just fine.

I enjoyed The Pitt more but both were worth it.

Btw - It's strange that I look at your gamercard and it says you haven't even played Fallout 3 and it messed up your game save? Right!

Don't they know it's been too long to try to prey upon PS3 customers. You can't tell them they get nothing because most of them believed and promptly sold the copy of F3 they had after playing so nobody is really left to buy the DLC.

But let this be a lesson to you all. Do not BUY downloadable content. It is a farce. The only reason you don't get it all when you pay all that money for the game is because games are HD now. And this BS goes for MS too. We should be able to get ALL the s#it on 2 discs for one price out the box.

Bethesda decided to exclusively bring 3 DLC expansions only to the Xbox 360 out of the kindness of their hearts even though they have a running version for the PS3.

Anyway, Microsoft did make an announcement about this during their press conference at E3.

The simple sad fact that few PS3 owners are going to buy the DLC because Bethesda hasn't shown any level of commitment to the console. They couldn't even be bothered to deliver fixes to the game at or around the same time they were putting them out on the 360 and PC.

Has to do with being totally boned by Bethesda, and then how many months later?... try to say "Ok! We are allowed to include you now!" but seriously, how many PS3 owners are waiting for this? I might be on N4G, but I can't imagine that any other SP3 owner who does a lick of research is going to touch a title on a platform that a dev is only half-heartedly committed to. That by the time that they're ready to do what they should have from the start and support their product, the buyer has already moved on.

I would have second thoughts on buying Bethesda games. Shafting half the fanbase is not a way to make money and it actually damages sales in the long run. Fallout was good but not great and I was happy I played it but I will refuse to pay full price for there games.

I have mentioned this on the forums and I never received an answer.

Yea if this is the case I might pass on DLC. I liked Fallout 3 but I'm not too sure I want to finish it; it seemed boring. Can anyone attest to the story? Is it good? And is it as epic as the story for Fallout 1? The only way I would get DLC for this game is if I finish it.

I bought the game like 5 months ago and stopped playing it after two weeks because I had work to do, but I couldn't help feeling intimidated by the scope of the game. There's just so much to do that whenever I do play it I still feel like I'm missing out on it. And then, if that's not enough, theres all this DLC which costs like 10 bucks each. Maybe I'll get the packaged version but I don't expect I'll ever be satisfied with Fallout 3 cuz it's too massive and disorganized for its own good. As for glitches, I only experienced one and it wasn't a big deal.

Sounds like you should try Valkyria Chronicles. It has a lot of playable hours. I personally clocked in about 80 hours, but I usually take a more hours than most people to finish a game. However unlike Fallout 3, Valkyria Chronicles keeps you on the main story-line throughout the game.

Valkyria Chronicles is truly the sleeper hit of this generation. It is exactly the type of experience the I buy games for.

I don't have a PS3 yet. Don't have enough cash to buy anything, but I will probably buy Valkyria Chronicles when I do get a PS3, and probably Demon's Souls. I don't mind that Fallout is expansive, but the art style is also a big turnoff. I hear VC is like a painting so that's really cool and I won't get bored of looking at it.

Ah yes, I was 'gently cajoled' into getting VALKYRIA CHRONICLES by so much positive word of mouth and am so glad I did. I'm not even a fan of the genre to be frank, but the visual style just sucked me in. And, even though I usually get intimidated by all those 'hit points' and 'skills' on games like this, it's a breeze to get into.

Too late. Already sold it :/. Even if they release the DLC, I wouldn't buy it again. Personally, I enjoyed oblivion way more than fallout. Fallout wins in the sheer amount of missions available, but the quality of oblivion's missions easily surpass fallout's.

i thought not long ago in an interview they said the reasons were because of the cost of dlc on the ps3 i.e. the developers having to pay sony x amount of money for every download which would all add up.

and they went on to say that a game of the year addition with the content included would be likely. This would make sense tbh. with oblivion, obv the full game came out b4 the ps3 version but later the ps3 version included some of the 360's dlc and i don't believe they did any actual 'dlc' for the ps3 version?

Unless it's for a key code, exclusive for a multiplatform game or the DLC addon content is released right after the full retail release which shows content was removed. PC gamers have had expansion packs for a while and can prolong an enjoyable game. DLC with extra content is ok when it's at least a few months down the road. This way it shows there was some genuine work put into it and with a low price point may be worth buying. The option for DLC in this case is fine.

I hope that this is true but that the DLC arrives at the PSN. I don't feel like buying the FA3 blu-ray disc game again so I can get the version with the DLCs.

The Oblivion game was awesome, some minor bugs but ok but on the other side the Oblivion GoTY edition for the PS3 had so many bugs like corrupted files all the time, corrupted auto-saves and freezes ..... I hope that does not happen to the FA3 game.

For those that don't bother about DLC ,well the two of those that already came to the xbox360 are just a small extra but the one that is still about to come will rule.

I think it will be worth to pay for the 3rd DLC since it wil lraise the lv cap from llv20 to lv30 and add different endings, skills, weapons and etc.
I would gladlly pay $19,99 bucks for extra +20 houras of game play in a DLC like that for my PS3.

I hope the PS3 Fallout fans get a taste of this. I've really enjoyed the DLC on my PC. There's some good loot, and I'm REALLY looking forward to Broken Steel.

Even though I didn't get screwed out of the DLC, I really do feel for those that bought the PS3 version (if you were really a fan and really wanted it). Everyone should get to enjoy it, no matter your console preference.
