Here's the first Spanish publicity for the PS3 featuring formula 1 star Fernando Alonso and the sixaxis controller.
As amazing as it may seem given Sony Computer Entertainment's track record with the PlayStation franchise, the PlayStation 3 has undoubtedly been the outside bet for the current-generation since it's launch back in March 2007. Arriving late in Europe, with successful Japanese and North American launches already under its belt, an incredibly high price-tag and it's underdog status has seen the PlayStation 3 achieving slow but consistent growth across the continent in the ensuing three years.
Hey GR8 1 doesn't it speak volums when the PS3 is turning 3 and the 360 is gonna be 5 that the Playstation is only a few million in sales behind xbox... Given the same amount of time out on shelves the Playstation 3 will be far a head of the 360, and currently the only people buying 360's are those who are rebuying it, yes it still counts for sales, but the number of people actually using it isn't growing, but PS3's is, you fail every time you comment to the point that people can't even take any bubbles away from you any more... Take a break from commenting, learn a thing or two, Log on with a new name and try again.
I got my PS3 just after launch and had some great times playing some amazing games. Been one of the best things I have ever bought.
So much has happened in 3 years, can't wait to see what happens in the next 3 years.
Every console has ups and downs during it's lifespan, and the PS3 is no different. But as avengers1978 is saying in the Open Zone (---->), the PS3 launch around eighteen months after the 360 in Europe, and is only just lagging behind. I've got every console in this and most generations, and while I personally prefer the 360 this time around, there's no denying the PS3 is doing some great things... (despite the legal issues!)
And let's not forget - three years into the original Xbox's life and the Xbox 360 was already on shop shelves!
The Formula One game license has been handled by a variety of different publishers in the past 15 years, including EA and now defunct Psygnosis. In more recent memory the licence has been held, fairly persistently, by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Studio Liverpool (formerly Psygnosis).
Codemasters has now released two 'Work in progress' high-definition shots from the PS3/360/PC version of the game F1 2010, which show the visual direction they are taking with the licence.
GamesRadar thought it was only proper to compare these two new screens with two similar screens from Sony's last game on PS3, Formula One: Championship Edition, a launch game for the console in early 2007, to see what they're doing differently. It's a real shame Sony didn't hang on to this license...
While GamesRadar seems to want to support CodeMasters, I think that the F1CE shots look better and having played that game, certainly feel it's a better F1 sim/game than codies will produce.
I hope I'm wrong on that, since F1 has become interesting again these last few years and we're lacking a decent F1 sim on any platform.
As an aside, if you're an F1 fan take a look at iracing.com who are implementing the Williams car - sure to be the best simulation around.

Would have been a nice addition to GT5's licences though.

Being the Current-Generation machine with the fewest titles – and fewest exclusive releases, for that matter – many of you may be wondering exactly where Electronic Theatre'll be dragging five missed-hits from, but as with any and every console released, there's plenty of ways games can just slip by even the most observant radar...
I agree with Buzz and slightly Conan, but the rest can piss up a rope. Folklore, Genji 2, Lair are my fill ins for those other 3 and the Simpsons game coming in for close runner up.
I disagree with the whole list.
The games that should be in there are Heavenly Sword, Folklore and Ratchet & Clank (especially because it is thrown to the side because people think it is a "kid's" game, but it actually is really really really good)
took the words right out of my mouth. R&C (both ToD and QfB)and Folklore are terrific games. Funny thing is, if you go back and look at reviews for Folklore, many of them are really positive, but I guess no one bought the game. And I have to say that Tools of Destruction is still my favorite PS3 game to date. Love Insomniac.
Yikes! That was not underapreciated, it was simply terrible. I don't mind QTE's but that game abused the system.
MotorStorm is the most underated if you ask me.

If they did not abandon the single player campaign and came with a solid co-op it would of been my selection for greatest of all time.
Has a respectable Meta 84 but plays like 100. Especially with the Operation fallen star booster pack... Jetpack's and trophy's.

Warhawk is one of the best online games i've played since Battlefield:2 I love everything about that game.
There's some moments in the game where you just have to stop and go..WOW!
i would give it atleast a 9/10.And you gotta love the dedication incognito put's into it with all the DLC
Yah , Thats the game I really want the screen capture feature for. I could of set up a camera and tripod but I feel Narsasistic doing that and its a pain and produces a somewhat poor quality video vs screen capture.

Warhawk is by far the most underated game on ps3 the online experience in that game is impeccable. Definetely a game that has shown that the psn is a place to have a great online experience thats exclusive to the console. Also Heavenly Sword as far as action adventure games truly great fighting system and amazing graphics that for some reason are never mentioned and holy crap the amount of baddies to slice and dice through, the only thing reviewers could whine about was how short it was, who cares the game was amazing and leaving u wanting more how exactly is that a bad thing.
I agree with Heavenly Sword and Folklore. But R&C was not underRATED at all! It got a wooping 88.6% at gamerankings. That's a really high score and the franchise is known too. I don't think anyone looks at Ratchet and throws it off their radar because it's a kids game, I think they just don't like those type of games in general.
On a sidenote I'll add Stranglehold and Virtua Fighter 5. Stranglehold because it's a lot of fun period. Virtua Fighter 5 because it was a launch game and the interest in it died wayyy too fast. I might even go as far as to say it was better than Soul Calibur IV. The biggest thing was that it was missing online, but it was still a great game.
nah, just kidding. Warhawk definately. Even though I get pwnd all day and night, Its the best fun I have had online....except for the time me and your sister posted our videos on exxxpress lol
The Darkness was awesome and I agree that it was totaly underrated. If you guys haven't tried it, rent it or buy it, its a quality game.
Man it's hard to argue with Warhawk especially after viewing that video. Nothing online runs better than Warhawk with as many players as it supports on any console. The game is simply incredible. I can't believe I have all but stopped playing it. I should be embarrassed to call myself a gamer.
That video has me wanting to fire it up ASAP! If only I could afford to skip work today to do that very thing ;)
games cost so much especially where I live it's only really worth it to buy the realllyy realllyy great games like Gears of War 1,2, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, MGS4, GTA IV etc.
Though some games true are underated, its because they get overshadowed by greater games and are really only normal, average but good games.
None of those mentioned are truly UNDERATED games, a truly underated game for it's time is ICO and Folklore, two truly great games that weren't picked up by the mass market of gamers at the time.
I thought Conan was pretty fun...The voice acting was lame and the boss fights can get annoying, but the gore and move list make up for it.
I played Conan. Was actually pretty excited about getting it too. But after the third level with no variation on the fighting, no real story elements, and no variety in the boss fight formula I just gave up and sold the game.
There goes that damn red light on the controller again.
I really like Sony adds, though most times a bit cerebral for some...
...the SIXAXIS control in this game is amazing now that i'm used to it.
It's an great option for those without the DFP2. Or like me, don't want to haul it out of the crawl space everytime i wanna do a few laps.
