Savage Moon doesn't do much to reinvent the tower defense genre, but so what? You get to blow bugs to smithereens. Sometimes, that's all you really need.
Recommendation: Tower defense junkies may feel like they've seen all of this before, and if you've tried the genre and found it not to your liking, this isn't going to win you over. But what Savage Moon does, it does very well.

You can always play them on PC using RPCS3: https://rpcs3.net/ Just have to torrent then games, also they will look so much better on PC as well, especially if you use reshade 🙃🎮
Which begs the question: how the **** have Sony not been able to get this sorted by now. The PS5 should be powerful enough.

Zombi is actually a decent game nothing special, I actually bought it when it came out, and played it before on the Wii U..
It's a decent game, was better on Wii U because of the controller on the Wii U, using the second screen on controller for stuff was cool but the port was ok, it's still a decent game. It's a cool game to get for free..
And this would have been an awesome game if Multiplayer was done right where you could play with friends and stuff, but their is no coop-op or stuff like that.. So gets boring quick. And graphics might feel a little dated, it did come out years ago on the Wii U.
-But as a Free PSN game it's not that bad.

If you like Zombi or not it has broken the indie only trend, hopefully this means Sony will now continue to deliver a AAA game each month for now on.
Zombi is a decent game, I paid real money for it on ps4.
You can please some of the people some of time, but not all of the people all of the time.
Resolution saw a bump on the PS4 and XB1 when it released, but I agree with you that it's basically the same game minus the best feature from the Wii U.
I was surprised by how good it was on WiiU and as far as I know, it's a solid port. It's a shame the framerate still sucks but you can't really complain when it's free!

Being free (which isn't really in this case) doesn't mean it is free of its shortcomings. Zombi being free means that i might try it, doesn't mean that i'll enjoy it.
It's not free. It's called "instant game collection" for a reason. These games are more like long-term rented games.
OK you guys are right it's not technically free but if you HAVE to pay to play online, then getting a couple games to play on the side ain't too bad. You guys keep asking for the triple A stuff but do you really want Killzone: Shadowfall and Knack that bad? Cos that's what you'll get.
Really bad I quit half way through. The combat is garbage, graphics look dull and dated, the story is boring, and there is 0 replay value. 5/10 Don't bother with this game.
I started playing it on Wiiu but also didnt really like it and put it down after a few hours. Ill give it a retry on Ps4 i guess.
I played it on PC, it was good. I remember it being real intense. Would be great for VR.
It comes down to a very interesting concept but the follow through didn't do well. Combat is awful and the guy yells every single time you swing your bat....
The whole, when you die you're dead thing and you need to run to get all your stuff back and fight your previous zombie, is really neat but the gameplay hinders how great the game could have been.
Zombi is an excellent game to get free on plus. I bought it on PSN and it's flawed, but entertaining survival horror nonetheless.

That's a nice 4/6 games imo. 2 AAA ish Ubisoft games and 2 incredibly fun looking indie shooters. I always wanted Shutshimi.
None of those is even near a AAA game to be honest. AAA means high budget and dont tell me Zombi is anything near that.
Dead Star doesn't look bad. It's Early Access on PC, but same day release and 'free' for PS+ on PS4. This is kind of similar to Rocket League, IMHO, only it depends if people want 10v10 PvP and customizable ship battles. It's games like this each month that I like because while I may not like the game, it gives me to the day of release to try out and half of the time it's worth keeping and playing and the other half it's either bad or an okay time waster.
Zombi is... meh. Fine, I'll take it, but... you know... it's just Zombi. It couldn't even afford the final letter and originally had a 'U' there. Zombies that can't even spell. What is the world turning into?!? /s
I Am Alive is a poor quality game, IMHO. I didn't like how it encouraged you to explore, but then penalized you for exploring. I just couldn't finish it.
Savage Moon is the definition of old and really not that great of a game. Generic tower defense with wasted graphics in a 3D world, to be honest.
Not a bad month, but I think we're getting to a point where PS3 game offerings just aren't holding up anymore because there just aren't any new games to pull from on it and developers are doing less and less with the PS3 as they move onto the PS4. Even PS Vita gets more support for it now, I think.
i quite playstation plus on my ps3. it was decent for quite a long time but support is getting very limited like you said. ps4 owners are starting to get shafted though. sony needs to mix it up, they are relying way too much on the indie games.
i guarantee if sony removed multiplayer as a requirement on the ps4 plus members would dwindle significantly. this is why sony never announced membership numbers before the ps4 came out.
I'm going to check it out as well. I have plenty of games to play so I'm never really looking forward to the month's freebies. It's nice when they give things that might be of interest though
its not good, well not for an AA-AAA game. Atleast on the Wii-U when i played it. Just look at the reviews, mediocre. I found it terrible myself but i suppose some could find it ok
It really boils down to what type of games you like. Most so called AAA games are of no interest to me since I only like Action/Adventure and RPG's and even then I can be very picky.
Many of the games I like are normally huge and take many hours to play. On the plus side I get the best value for money out of my purchase and on the minus side I don't really have the time or the inclination to play many other games.
At the moment I am dividing my time between The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne such that Dragon Age - Inquisition is not even getting a look in other than me completing the first part which is probably less then 1% of the game.
Very happy with Zombi. Been severely dissapointed for a long time with the PS4 offerings but this is a nice, welcome surprise.

It was a great surprise for me. It was 500 yen (around 5 bucks) when I bought it, I was expecting a sub-par game and what I found was a true survival game. Think of it as Dead Island meets Dark Souls, because that is pretty much how the game works.
If you like hard games that challenge your skills, you're gonna love it. If you don't like having to get back your stuff if you die, you're gonna hate it.
It's a great game in my opinion, it's worth a try (especially if it's free).
the hate on psn-plus is getting pretty crazy. i guess all the ps4's selling and more gamers than ever to sign up for psn-plus is what's holding sony back
do you believe for a second MS would offer any AAA if it was over 21 million behind? yes that's what i thought
not defending plus but sony really doesn't have any incentive to make available AAA games
remember this past holiday season when MS had the best exclusive lineup ever tag line yet ps4 won 3 out of the 4 holiday months and the one it lost was only by 30k

Might give Zombi a shot. For the most part will just still play The Division until Ratchet & Clank comes out.
Dark Souls III just a few weeks away... Hopefully the raid for Division comes out the week before, as DS3 will be taking a lot of people away if not.

It's not shovelware. It was a really solid game when it came out on wiiU. Play it on survival mode where one death means your permanently dead. Shit was intense.
Sadly, that's the best of the bunch (not saying much). At least it is a reasonable inclusion, though. Did you SEE the Vita games? Literal shovelware unlike your hyperbole.
Developer FluffyLogic has put together a hints, tips and help document about the new downloadable content for their popular tower defence game, Savage Moon.
Waldgeist was made available for download from the PlayStation Store at the beginning of the month for €3.99 but gamers soon reported that the DLC was causing some issues with the game.
FlufflyLogic has since confirmed that they "did a fix for this a few days ago and no new cases have come to light, so [they] are now confident that the issue is resolved for all new purchases of Waldgeist."
