Remedy Entertainment has revealed that Max Payne 1 & 2 remake has achieved critical development goals, while Control 2 is in full production.
Remedy Entertainment is targeting a 2027 release window for Control 2, followed by Alan Wake 3 and Control 3 in 2029 and 2030, respectively.
Great news, and impressive if they can stick to those dates. I wonder whether we'll see far more crossovers between the two franchise's as a result.
I suspect the FBC will be put in a position in Control 2 where they have to start actively trying to get Alan Wake to help them.
Hot take : I'd prefer if WB approached Remedy about a collab for a Remedy's version of a Batgame, whilst Suicide Squad was in development. Trust me, it'd have been damn cool. I know WB higher ups are stubborn as hell.
Remedy Entertainment reveals that Alan Wake 2 has sold over two million units and begun accruing royalties.
Probably would have sold a lot more had it been available physically at launch. I feel like Remedy's greed will eventually close them down.
I'm glad this finally broke 2 million units sold, but Silent Hill 2 hit that goal in far less time and on fewer consoles. Remedy really needs to rethink putting its games on EGS.
Remedy has outlined its major goals for the Max Payne remakes, stating that it intends to capture commercial and critical success.
Um, I’d think that should go without saying… but glad they’re committed to making the quality excellent as opposed to, uh, not.
Well rockstar is paying the bills so they have to project confidence so it isn't cancelled.
What I'm wondering is who is going to voice Max since the og actor died or they are using the old VO like MGS3Remake.
😁
Can't wait to see how this game turns out!
My most anticipated Remake project.
I have seriously HIGH hopes for these remakes, hope they can live up to my own hype 🦖.
I love Max Payne and Control. Control has as way better story though.
