A user on Reddit explains how to report Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders on eBay, claiming to have taken down over 20 listings from scalpers.

The patch notes say you can upload your system to the cloud ready for your switch 2 if you’re selling your original switch early. However it states it will automatically wipe your switch 1 on completion back to factory settings.
However, the news section directly on the switch has been updated with a page dedicated to installing this update and says feel free to run the switch transfer to the cloud at any time without any issues and doesn’t mention at all that it will wipe your console. So watch out folks.
I remember transferring my content from the og Switch to an OLED and it saying data would be lost on the old one. It wasn't the case as ahead of donating it I did the factory reset myself. This is probably going to be a similar case of not everything being deleted.

This is where I live to. I stopped buying from GameStop long ago. I hardly if ever go into a BestBuy, Walmart, etc. I do most of my shopping online, I have my preorder direct from Nintendo, just need to wait for the email.
I wish I had the same confidence you have. I signed up on the 3rd of April a day before they delayed the initial preorders. It's a lottery so nothing is quareented. Also If a NSO N64 pad can hobble Nintendo's site what do you think a new platform will do.
I'd love to be wrong but after the BB website snafu and aforementioned Nintendo history I'm just not all that confident these days. 😆
TBH, I'm still not commited to buying the Switch 2 even with my preorder notice, from Nintendo, which will be after May 8. I just feel indifferent about it now. 😁
No surprise. This happens at Gamestop with every console release. There is so much pressure from corporate so employees resort to extortion to make their metrics.

ebay actually listens? They didn't seem to care about reports against people scalping the disc drives when the ps5 pro came out.
