PlayStation stars is getting some big changes that are upsetting fans
PlayStation Stars will no longer offer reward points for PS Plus subscriptions, according to the program's updated Terms of Service.
Now I am not sure if I should renew now and get the stars or wait for Black Friday and get a discount... I'll probably go with the latter, but I wished I got the best of both worlds. Shame
"new reward points earned will expire at the end of the month plus 12 months from the date on which they appear in your PlayStation Stars account balance."
if thats the case not many people will spend £/$/euro 500(5,000 points earn) to get £/$/euro 20 off in one year hope they introduce a £/$/euro 250(2,500 earn) to get £/$/euro 10 off or something like that on wallet funds under rewards
Ugh. Can't condone this. They funneling you towards psn purchases. Not on Sony.
Sony has a good idea once in a blue moon then shoots the same idea in the back of the head.
Sony has updated the PlayStation Stars PS Store rewards section, removing nearly all of them except for one game and virtual currency.
That's probably for the best, the only thing anyone should ever redeem is the store credit. Though I see they have some redeems for NBA, Genshin, HSR and Destiny that cost $5 plus tax normally, so buying those with points would be a tax free way to buy them.
If this is anything it's them listening to the complaints about the games which were often cheaper on sale than the price they could be redeemed with for points.
This is a wonky service so people should be redeeming their points for 5 dollar credits as soon as you have enough.
Well damn... I forget about this. I just checked and had enough points for $20... thank you Sony.
The only collectible I wanted was that 30th Anniversary Pro bundle. But y’all gave that to the scalpers. Thanks, Sony!
