Bridget O’Neill:

"Bungie Creative Studios is joining PlayStation Studios to build the foundation for a creative team that can support all PlayStation live service games. As part of this move, I am taking on a new role as Senior Director of Creative at PlayStation Studios."

So Sony didn´t gave up on their LS plans after all. It feels like Jim Ryan never left with Hermen Hulst calling the shots.

Pretty sure they still have some live service games in development . I thought that was obvious, like marathon.
Just cause they drop some and shift their focus doesn’t mean they will cancel all of it.

raWfodog204d ago

Makes perfect sense to many people that they’d never give up on LS completely.

neutralgamer1992204d ago (Edited 204d ago )

It was the same for Xbox too along with other brands. Don matrick left but his original plan has been implemented into Xbox already. These companies can change people but the original plan usually is being followed. But by letting go of don and Jim the negativity surrounding them is much less so it’s easier to implement

16 disagrees you think the mods would hammer down on all this sony bloodlust on this site.

you are right sony is still going full live service so all these games are not changing.

We got fargame$ end of this year then that marathon games and end of next year horizon live service deal oh boy.

With sony making less money each year there movies beyond spiderman itself being crap and loosing millions venom this friday yikes i wonder how long they can sustain themselves this time sense 2014 they filled for bankruptcy.

Eonjay204d ago

I actually consider myself a fan of PlayStation and you are way more obsessed than I ever was. They will be fine. You are actually freaking out. LOL please take a breath and relax!

pwnmaster3000204d ago

@Eonjay
The Xbox fanboys on this sight is pretty weak compare to other sites.
All they do is cry here and play victim.

Only one that goes hard is Obscure.

trez1082204d ago

Full life service? Yes we will get those live service games and hope they’re good. Concord flopped but one of the success story of this year/gen is helldiver 2 and it’s bloody fun time. Oh and they published Rise of the ronin, asobi released Astro bot, Wolverine and ghost next year and I’m pretty sure those aren’t life service games.

If they can release all type of games like they’re doing then they should keep going. Full life service? Thats simply a lie but the real is….why the lie?

fr0sty204d ago

Go easy on them, Microsoft bought the entire industry and still can't put out a good game, they need something to cling to.

Bungie in name only. It's about as meaningless as Atari now.

TheColbertinator204d ago

Rare
Bethesda
Sega
Naughty Dog
Rockstar Games
Level 5
Bioware

And many more cruising along past glories.

just_looken204d ago

Man rare was awesome on the SN then you got there early 2000 games.

You are so right there is alot of team's with the name but no talent like they had before

pwnmaster3000204d ago (Edited 204d ago )

Idky you listed rockstar. Pretty sure GTA6 will break records and be a bomb @ss game.
Same with naughty dog.

Just cause those two haven’t really released anything doesn’t mean their games sucks.

Bethesda and BioWare tho.
It breaks my heart to see what’s going on.

I would put treyarch in there also and infinite ward.
I remember call of duty was my favorite franchise but now it’s ass.
If BO6 sucks I’m done with the franchise like battlefield.

franwex204d ago

Level 5?
Aren’t they independent?

S2Killinit203d ago

ND and Rockstar dont belong in that list.

Sonic1881203d ago (Edited 203d ago )

I agree with you except for Bioware and Rockstar. I think Bioware will make a comeback with the next Mass Effect

Asterphoenix203d ago

I admit Level 5 weren't what they were. But I'm looking forward to Decapolice it really reminds me of their older titles.

I'm glad they are able to find a job within PlayStation instead of being unemployed.

2024 has been one of the best years for PlayStation single player gamer's.

They just released Astrobot they have Lego: Horizon coming they published and had numerous 3'rd party single player hits like Rise of the Ronin, FF7 Rebirth, Pacific Drive, Stellar Blade, Silent Hill 2, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Zenless Zone Zero.

Pretty much all these games will be on someones GOTY list.

And next year we have Ghosts of Yotie, Death Stranding 2 On the Beach, Wolverine, and games like Phantom Blade Zero and Infinity Nikki.

And these were just off the top of my head and I am sure there will be more announcements.

They clearly aren't abandoning single player games.

Hopefully they can get more hit multiplayer games like Helldivers 2.

Man I've been having so much fun with ff7 rebirth
