The Halo Unreal Engine 5 reveal from Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) has everyone talking about Halo again. We thought we would take a look at some of the shots from Halo 3 2007 next to Halo Unreal Engine 5 test footage from the announcement. Why Halo 3? Well many fans seem to think there are some surprising similarities to locations in this Halo Unreal Engine 5 footage and Halo 3.
COGconnected got our hands on the demo for Tony hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, and want to give you our impressions.
Fortnite just added Blitz Royale, a new game mode, and a free skin to celebrate its release. Here's how you can unlock it.
A decent successor that expands on the original, but never really surpasses it.
YES!!!
I´m so glad Xbox didn´t listened to haters demanding 343i to be replaced by other studio.
MS not only double down on 343i as Halo main developers but also empowered that team even more!
Now as Halo Studios they only give us a taste of a next gen Halo powered by Unreal Engine 5 will look like:
Absolutely stunning!
It looks good though I wish they would have compared it with Halo Infinite instead of Halo 3. It better not take 10 years to make and be 30 fps.
I really don't like this whole moving to U5 thing the industry is going through. These engines are usually made with the game the devs are making in mind. They know the ins and outs and also how to make em work for the hardware they are exclusively stuck on. They also have years of assets that now they'll either hafto try to port or make from scratch. Not to mention that current gen hardware hasn't exactly been able to keep up with U5 advancements. It's still 343, no name change or engine change will magically make em better at making HALO, if anything this has more potential of ruining em further.
It's not just talking about graphics...if you played Infinite the gameplay was super fun, gun play, gameplay loop, sound and the campaign was excellent...only held back by the one Biome.
The problem was obviously the engine and management at the time, just look at the progress and level of multiplayer updates that we have seen for the game since the shake up..night and day difference from the launch
Now that they moved to UE, it really changes the workflow, time to develop, and updating/DLC will be easier that before...so it's not just the graphics that this whole switch is about.
daannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn mmmmmmmmmmmm.
DAY ONE... Hopefully they release it for PC the same day.
