PS5 Pro reveal will include new DualSense controller as console price leaked

Additional last minute leaks about today’s PS5 Pro reveal include surprising details about its date and price, and a subsequent State of Play.

Babadook7237d ago (Edited 237d ago )

This is the first I’ve heard of the PS5 Pro getting Dolby Vision. Or the improved triggers on the DualSense.

just_looken237d ago (Edited 237d ago )

On the main dolby vision sight they still say its not supported only the series/pc has it
https://games.dolby.com/vis...

Sony might sell it as a software add on later $40.00 usd

Or just buy a series S or used x with the extra a pro cost's use it as a player/game deck heck good chance you have enough left over for beer/food and a hooker.

Babadook7236d ago (Edited 236d ago )

This is pretty old though. And doesn’t really apply to PS5 Pro

The rest of your comment is even more biased.

So £499 for digital it's not to bad and £589 for disc ($600). A bit expensive but I guess everything is just going up in price.

Improvements to a already great controller is also welcome. 2 different release dates is also odd if that turns out to be true. Parts delay for the disc drive? Maybe they want to push digital a little more?

stoney101237d ago

I really hope that info on the 2 different release dates is false, would suck having to wait an extra 3 weeks just to get the disc version. I guess there's not long to wait now until we find out for sure, exciting times!

andy85237d ago

It'd be pretty stupid because people will get the digital version when they wanted the disc and buy the addon (which will lead to massive shortages of those)

CantThinkOfAUsername237d ago

@andy85 sounds like a brilliant business idea to me.

Eonjay237d ago (Edited 237d ago )

For the digital price to be less than the Xbox 2 TB is a clear win.

I'm gonna try to catch the preorder.

PassNextquestion237d ago

I didn't realise the Xbox Series X 2TB was so over priced

darthv72237d ago

Especially if the Pro also has 2tb

darthv72237d ago

...well this didnt quite go as planned. Now the pro digital is $100 more than the 2tb X.

MrNinosan237d ago

589GBP doesn't translate to 599USD thou.
More like 589GBP translates to 689USD.

So with his rumours, the Digital would be 599USD and Standard 689USD.

sagapo237d ago

589 GBP is around 770 USD currently tho.

ocelot07237d ago

How much is the PS5 in the US? $500? Here it's £479.

OldDuffer237d ago

Without exception, console prices in various territories do not translate with currennt exchange rates.
The USA for instance will often offer a product thats on sale at £499 in the UK for $499 in the states. We will know soon of course, but in the meantime guessing the us price based on a uk price and exchange rate is likely to be alarmist.

PassNextquestion237d ago

So converted to AUD it's $1157 for disc version and $980 for digital. Pretty much as expected.

Gamingsince1981237d ago

I'm pretty sure I paid $1000 for the 60gig ps3 when it first released in Australia, so not too bad a deal really

Flawlessmic237d ago

Im in aus aswell, think I might trade in my series x and ps5, hopefully eb games do some solid trade in value so I can work that amount down a fair bit.

Profchaos237d ago (Edited 237d ago )

According to press start it's more like 1050 for the digital.

Either it's a lot I want to see eb and their trade in plans last gen they had a 349 update path from base to pro

rlow1237d ago

So are a lot of people going to buy this? Theirs always a lot of hype among the hardcore when these things launch. Just like the PlayStation VR…..I think this will sell well but not make a huge surge. Unless it brings in more than just smoother graphics and musical fidelity

ZacultronTheFirst237d ago

Considering that ps4 pro was 12-15% of total volume sold,i'd wager that this time it'll be even less when you factor in everything from loss of interest to mediocre overall quality release schedule.
