I’m hoping FF17 is like this, especially with the world map. It’s so OG FF it’s unreal. It’s one of my fav RPGs of all time right now. I’m impressed with really nothing negative to say about the game.
Hopefully we get more high budget RPGs like this one. I would love to see Sony start making turned based RPG exclusives again like the good old ps1 days.
It's a great game no doubt well deserved success but i must say i'm in act 2 right now and i don't quite get the super crazy reception for the game, i mean 9.7 on user reviews on metacritic is insane.. seems a bit absurd.

There is no game for everyone. I’d guess a lot of the reviews are from people who like turn based to begin with but either way it’s a well made game
A lot of tourists and casuals are playing this game. They pretend there were no good turn-based games since early 2000s.
I'm in dame boat. Good game but to me its not as good as people are saying. Writing falls off in act 2. Feel like this game got extra points because it was made by a small team and a bunch of people who think this kind of turn based is completely new. Then there's the issue of the "troll era" where everyone wants to hate the big dogs like final fantasy so they'll latch onto anything just so they can say its better
For a $50 game and done by a small studio, I'd say that's enough to justify the scores. There is no perfect game out there but I believe the game deserves what it's gotten. I am a little critical of some of the scenes and dialogue but the overall story and gameplay really make it up for me.
Just ordered myself a physical copy, but it isn't due to arrive until the 24th May. Gives me time to complete The Last of Us Part 2 (I know, I know, I'm behind the times).
I haven't quite made my mind up yet. I'm not too far in to the game, but so far I'm not enjoying it as much as the first. It almost feels like I'm forcing myself to play through it, whereas the first game gripped me from the get go. I've watched the first two episodes of the new series and I've enjoyed comparing the events of the game to the adaptation, but I won't be watching anymore episodes until I'm further in.

Thanks! Yeah, there's no rush to get to things. Honestly I've not been feeling in the gaming mood as much recently, but I'm looking forward to getting that feeling back.
This game just won’t stop. Games usually have the largest number of players n the release, which gradually falls. But now, 10 days after the release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 managed to hit a new all-time player peak.
I will be playing it very soon so they can add me to the count in a couple days. I don’t play a new game until I finish the one I’m playing or I’ll end up with this a bunch of unfinished games. But I’m definitely looking forward to it

They made very few physical copies. Many stores had zero copies available even on launch day (or only ordered enough copies to cover pre-orders). It has primarily sold on digital platforms.
I just finished it, platinum it too. I truly love a complete game that you can do everything in first sitting. No forced replay and has all of its depth from the start. This game did so much right and both endings are so thought provoking I love it. Fantastic game!
Didn't know there were 2 endings. Nice. Gotta get these chroma hearts. Really enjoying the game, omw to work and can't wait till it's over so I can play some more!
The good thing is you don’t have to play 2 times to see both endings. They actually have a ton of your save states from the load previous saves and you can pick the second to last to get back to the part to make another choice.
Love it when developers think about the player!
Great. I hate when games make you play through again to see alternate endings. Even more so when they don't have multiple save slots. Like Lies of P smh, also a great game tho and Stellar Blade but I did the save trick for that 1, still have to go through for the 3rd ending.
