Nintendo has reportedly added support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and frame rates up to 240 fps to one of its in-house game engines.
Endless Ocean Luminous is a visually stunning open-sea exploration game that will hook a certain type of gamer - however, it lacks depth in many areas
MonsterVine: "Endless Ocean Luminous isn’t the most active or engrossing game, but its soothing atmosphere and relaxing gameplay do make for a unique experience."
“At the end of the day, if you're not playing Endless Ocean Luminous to look at and learn about oceanic creatures then you won't enjoy it as there is little else to it. While not necessarily a bad game, it becomes less and less fun the more you play it and I wouldn't exactly call that the hallmark of a good game either.” - Martijn van Gent from Video Chums.
I think we should lower our expectations at this point.
I can't imagine any Nintendo game running at 240 fps. That's more for competitive multilayer games where precision is needed. They would be better to increase the graphics quality and lower the frames to 60 fps.
