That's not surprising. Of course they're going to reject it. True or not, they're not going to admit if they did cherry pick. Pretty standard response.

EvertonFC129d ago

Agreed, I'm sure MS cherry picked documents too.

porkChop129d ago

Yeah they probably did. Every large corporation is going to try and hide stuff if it benefits them.

Crows90128d ago

@porkchop

Corporations are going to want to hide things from competition....common sense.

wiz7191128d ago

@Everton nah what they need to cherry pick documents for ? Sony was the only ones in the industry who was the most vocal against the deal ..

EvertonFC129d ago

What and MS didn't cherry pick either ?

InUrFoxHole128d ago

Yes buddy. They did. Do you feel better now? Are they being big ol meanies to sony? I got you

Hofstaderman128d ago

Are you ok? I mean the acquisition went through... but nothing really happened other than XBOX sales cratering....

EvertonFC128d ago

You got me 🤣😂
You like 12 years old or something.

Flenter129d ago (Edited 129d ago )

What's MS goal now? They have their acquisition right? Now fuck off

porkChop129d ago

To be fair, the FTC is dragging everyone to the courts to try and undo/divest the merger. They wanted documents pertaining to the deals MS made with Sony, Ubisoft, etc.

DarXyde129d ago

No surprises here.

When this all began, Sony would be foolish not to try to block the acquisition, even if the odds were against them.

Likewise, Microsoft is not going to pass up an opportunity to gain more information, successful or not.

Standard stuff, I reckon. If an attempt is never made, the answer is always "no".

derek128d ago

Sony is wise to avoid further disclosure. To them this is a done deal, they reached an agreement with Microsoft for 10 years. It's the ftc alone still pursuing their case but it ain't going anywhere.

Epic Games Faces $1.2 Million Fine Over "Unfair Practices," Plans to Fight Back

Epic Games is facing a $1.2 million fine by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets over "unfair practices" in the Fortnite shop.

Sciurus_vulgaris11h ago

It might be cheaper to simply pay the fine. Fighting said fine could cost millions due to court and lawyer fees. Fortnite generates well over a 100 million in each month, so Epic has plenty of cash.

franwex4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

But if they did pay it, then they are basically admitting that they did something they weren’t supposed to be doing. If they fight it, they may win and continue to have a sense of urgency for their micro transactions thus making more money long term.
