By opening the link, the recipient will be able to hop into your multiplayer session even if they aren’t already friends with you on PlayStation Network."
Sounds like it opens the floodgates for more Dr Disrespect-likes.
Also, a Google Stadia feature that was never implemented but was spoken about in a way such that streamers could invite viewers into their game with just a link.

It's just an optional way to make it easier to invite people into groups for multiplayer...
Ps always had a good app. you can buy dlc, for instance, and have it ready when you get home,
check status of friends online,
use the phones keypad to type messages quicker (now ps5 has a mic in controller and voice recognition, that advantage goes away somewhat)
They dont advertise some of their stuff very well in my opinion

You also can buy full and PS+ games and start them remotely and even access your whole library and set anything you own to download remotely. You can even manage your storage and delete games from the console, M.2, and USB.
Pretty handy.
Another thing Sony should do in their app is purchase-related too. On the system, you can buy a game even if you "own" it through your PS+ membership (whether it's through Premium or the Monthlies). In the app though, you don't have that capability - only to Download to Console if it isn't already installed.

I’ve been playing the old hunters dlc recently, bought it when first released but just had it sitting. Finally got to it and just beat the lady in the clocktower. About to traverse the fishing village, when I finish the dlc I will start playing Forspoken.

Forspoken is a horrible game. I tried giving it a chance, and spent quite a bit of time with it, but ended up dropping it.
Each to their own. I loved playing it and really enjoyed the combat system. My wife now has over 200 hours and is still enjoying playing it.
That doesn't invalidate your feelings, but is offered to demonstrate that there are plenty of people who liked it regardless of bad press.
Don't forget to torture yourself a little with Laurence after you finish the Fishing Hamlet.

It's in the bag for ps5 this year. One live service game, Rise of Ronin One of the most boring open worlds in years with lifeless side quests that makes Starfield look great. Stellar Blade a very good game but not S-tier, FF7 Rebirth don't know waiting for pc port because I'm not paying for a game that has frame rate issues even at 30fps
And this is the best star to the year ever? And let me guess Astro Bot will make this the best 2nd half ever for PS too.
