The only collectible I wanted was that 30th Anniversary Pro bundle. But y’all gave that to the scalpers. Thanks, Sony!

Now I am not sure if I should renew now and get the stars or wait for Black Friday and get a discount... I'll probably go with the latter, but I wished I got the best of both worlds. Shame

They need to just kill this program already, they've gimped it to being worthless as it is.

Einhander1972254d ago

All they did was make it so you don't get points when you buy a subscription, you still get points from purchases and they still give away free points for playing games.

And they removed the games as a reward, because people complained. Some of the games cost in cash less than the cost in points and they would go on sale. So now they only offer the store credit option which you can save and use to buy any of the games that were on the service and at a cheaper price on sale.

I have got around $200 in $5 store credits, I'm not complaining.

DivineHand125254d ago

Unless your subscription lapses during Black Friday, you will likely be out of luck because for the past few years, only persons who are not subscribed to psn are eligible for a discount. For everyone else, it's full price. I have already let my subscription lapse.

I have two subs that are up in December (me and the boy), so the timing of this sucks.

"new reward points earned will expire at the end of the month plus 12 months from the date on which they appear in your PlayStation Stars account balance."
if thats the case not many people will spend £/$/euro 500(5,000 points earn) to get £/$/euro 20 off in one year hope they introduce a £/$/euro 250(2,500 earn) to get £/$/euro 10 off or something like that on wallet funds under rewards

Hofstaderman254d ago

Ugh. Can't condone this. They funneling you towards psn purchases. Not on Sony.

Puty254d ago (Edited 254d ago )

I just joined last month. This sucks balls.
"For the players", eh?

Sony has a good idea once in a blue moon then shoots the same idea in the back of the head.
