Glad, I’m about to downgrade when they raise the price. For me, I don’t really access much or care about the games they have in the library and if I do, it’d be cheaper to just buy them over time rather than stick to some expensive subscription model.
When you're new to the service you've got an avalanche of games to play. After you catch up, I agree, it's not worth it beyond the Essential tier for me.
That being said, the Essential tier is the best deal in console gaming imo, based on the monthly games you get to keep.
Yeah same will be downgrading $214 aud is insane and we don't even get the streaming capabilities in Australia which they said would make the top level subscription cheaper.
If i was to just buy the games I actually play that come to the service id be far better off.
Ill keep the essential tier to retain the games ive collected since the ps3 and for mp but I'm not convinced of the premium tiers value any more
Went back to essential a few months ago. I’m buying more physical and it has helped in finishing more games.
Extra is probably the best value for money right now, Premium doesn't have anything special enough to justify paying the additional imo.
*unless you have a Portal & you catch Premium on discount during Days of Play or Black Friday.
Yea, I really do wish they'd up their effort on Premium titles, but allowing a large catalog of titles that can stream to your Portal without even having to use your PS5 is pretty awesome. We travel about 2 hours to stay with my inlaws from time to time, so it's been pretty killer to only need to take my Portal for that!
Extra has been getting worse and worse each month. I've had it since it's launch and it's been great to play some games I may not have played but the selection has been declining rapidly for a while now. My sub runs out in August and I'll be going back to essential. They actually add games to that which are more appealing.

cloud streaming to the portal, without using the ps5, is the selling point of premium to me.

I missed only 6 months of the first year of PS+ and have claimed everything since then. What a huge backlog that I & all the other longtime subscribers have!
same here Otter they give us 3 Games every month i have been a PS Plus for a long time thats alot of games to play Also i have you on PSN Otter but wont say who i am LOL.
Lol, I have a number of N4G'ers on my PSN friends list. Goes back to when we used to have an N4G group in the PS4's Communities platform. I bet you added me then. Man, I miss those!
PS plus July 2010 - May 2025. 95% of the games I didn't play or I purchased previously. Still collected them for some reason. Switched to PC only for now. Don't play as much a I used to, plus their games have been making to PC mostly. Enjoy them while you can.
Sure is good to an extent but I’m kinda salty with the constant price hikes without the extra content to warrant the hike. Diablo been on game pass day 1 for ages sure it’s a Microsoft game but see that’s where one is better than the other . I’ll take king of fighter for sure tho love that game . Thinking of getting the New city of the wolves
I only have 378 of the over 500 'free' games that were offered. I started my PS+ subscription in 2013 when it became mandatory for multiplayer access. I also claimed every 'free' game even if I didn't have an interest in it at that time. I figured I might as well since Sony was paywalling me now LOL.
A solid roster of games this month. I'll be claiming these as well and adding them to my monster backlog.

KOF XV, even without any dlc still offers a lof of content for everyone that does not care about a good story in a fighting game at least.
Have it already with all dlc of course but its good to see new players thanks to ps+ that can get a beatdown by my Geese ^^
PS Plus Extra and Premium are set to lose 6 games in July, 2025, including Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games' Remnant 2.

There's a feature like that on PC Game Pass where it randomly picks a game for you. I've wondered why it isn't available on console though.
Are we really becoming that lazy now? I am getting too old (not enough time) to let a random number generator to tell me which game I should play next.

I don't think a shuffle option would help this guy. If you're picky and can't decide what to play then having random suggestions thrown at you will get you nowhere.
I know the games I want to play so a shuffle button is pointless to em.
You can always change your filters if you want to look at them differently
