MaximusPrime_19d ago

Strange why people disagree with me. Probably they are illiterate or just fanboys who hates PS.

Anyway, the articles clearly said it and I just saved you a click. Thanks Moegooner for the list of countries

Mmmkay18d ago

Or maybe there is a difference between south America and Latin America..

With these reckless trade wars going on, expect videogames to keep getting more expensive.

babadivad18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Switch prices were locked in before the Tarrifs. They just conveniently used the tarrifs as an excuse to calm outrage.

PSN is a digital service and isn't subjected to any kind of tarrifs.

They have been trying to find a way to increase the price for years.

Don't let them trick you into blaming tarrifs for corporate greed.

crazyCoconuts18d ago

When I look at Brazil, the increased price for PS Essential new users annually is equivalent to $61 USD, monthly is $7.50 USD. In the US it's more expensive. Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all along.

"Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all"

No, not every country has the same average salary as the United States. When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages, which are often very different from those in the U.S

"When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages"
So companies should sell consoles at a large loss in impoverished countries?

Sony is run by imbeciles unfortunately

Zenzuu18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

In your own words.

*All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.*

Now, I'll change some of it.

Show us on the doll where sony touched you

anast18d ago

They have to keep up with Nintendo's prices.

Michiel198918d ago

yes they decided on this in a week, it can't be that they were planning it anyway, it couldn't have been. Not from your favourite company.

anast18d ago

It's strange. It's like you read the words, but you don't have the ability to understand them.

ARESWARLORD18d ago

I already find it to be a terrible value. Go ahead and up the price and 100% lose me.

andy8517d ago (Edited 17d ago )

Not saying a price increase is good but I'm paying £8 a month for access to 1000 games. That's absolutely not terrible value

ARESWARLORD15d ago

How many of those games are you actually playing

I would add Jeanne D'Arc. I had it back in the PSP days, but I finally played all the way through it and Platinumed it this time. Great game, addictive battles.

Knushwood Butt129d ago

Excellent game.
Beat it on PSP.
Got close to the end on PS5 but other stuff got my attention.

Plague Tale Requiem
Ugh, platinumed the flrst game but had issues with it.
The second game had similar issues. I stopped playing it fairly early in and ended up deleting it.

Can't buy it separately unfortunately. Not sure what Capcom was thinking.

VersusDMC164d ago

Well i think the only options 3rd parties have is take a pay out to have it exclusively on premium or sell it separately but it is set up so if you purchased it before you get it for free. Capcom doesn't want to sell it separately because 80 to 90% of the audience for this most likely bought the PS1 classic on PS3/PSP/Vita and they want to get paid. Or maybe Capcom are not selling these versions because a survival horror collection is on the way?

The texture clipping on these PS5 versions are a dealbreaker anyway so i am going to keep playing them on Vita.

TheNamelessOne181d ago

Just here to remind people you can emulate all these classics on a potato laptop, and even some other consoles. You don't need to pay a subscription service monthly just to play some classic games you've probably already bought in the past.
