Activision is making more money on PC than consoles for the first time, and the gap is widening

There's gold in these personalized computing hills, and Activision Blizzard is taking notice.

Kinda off topic but why all your comments feel like an AI rather than real person lol

These stats are because of the pull out from the asian market.

All this blizzard activison talk but no one mentioning the huge loss to those affected by the neatease fallout.

If it's the first time it can't be widening

SullysCigar412d ago

Came here to say the same thing. If it's the first time, there's only been one data point - how can you have a gap, let alone measure it?

Number1TailzFan412d ago

Impossible, i thought the common excuse was that every PC gamer pirates most of their stuff?.. /s

Things like the Steam deck have helped players to get into PC gaming without having to spend $1000+ and make their savings on the awesome Steam sales.

We've said it before and we'll say it again - PC Master Race

PC Master race my A**

Ahhh, Pee Cee...
Terms and conditions may apply, ranging from potato to leviathan.

Linefix412d ago

Aaaah... PC Master Race in which they don't own any game with all that digital library of theirs.

Trunkz412d ago

Ahh console, to pay $60 for a game that's 5yrs old

XbladeTeddy411d ago

Physical games aren't exactly owned either. Many require massive patches that aren't on the disc and sometimes content to be decent and you need a specific machine to use them. You own the box and the disc, nothing more.

GotGame818412d ago (Edited 412d ago )

It really is the best option if you have the $$. Having high end gaming PC is almost always the best way to experience gaming, after the bugs are patched.

That being said. I get why some gamers tie themselves to consoles. Plug and play is easier. Eventually streaming is going to catch up, and cloud based gaming. Stadia was an epic failure because people weren't ready for it. Digital sales have increased exponentially, in the past 5 years.

northpaws412d ago

It is a display of weakness when you have to mention "PC Master Race" whenever you have a chance.

To me PC is just another console, it has its pros and cons, and nothing "master" about it.

badz149411d ago

Steam Deck is the opposite of Master Race. Steam Deck is the Peasant of PC gaming

XbladeTeddy411d ago

The Steam Deck is about handheld gaming, it's a completely different thing. Being a first time dad I gave up gaming until I got one. It's the pick up and play nature.

as per ps fanboys that says sony has the right to buy exclusivity on metal gear and castlevania and final fantasy silent hill because it sells more on their platfroms, MS have the right to buy activision because they make more money on Microsoft platfroms....stupid logic

SoulWarrior412d ago (Edited 412d ago )

It isn't on the MS store, they don't get a penny from Activision games sold on PC via battlenet and steam, whether the PC is running Windows or not, stupid logic.

MrDead412d ago

Your comparisons are hilarious, it's someone comparing losing a single brick to someone losing an entire house.

neutralgamer1992412d ago

Buying timed exclusives vs permanently buying publishers and taking their respective games away from other platforms

Starfield was going to release on PS5 if they were still 3rd party but MS bought them and said we want more gamers to be able to play only to make Bethesda games exclusives

Linefix412d ago (Edited 412d ago )

Umm... you realize that buying publishers =l= buying exclusivity of certain games. Do people go to school anymore?!
