I agree. GT7 has to be up there for racing games too, Pavlov for shooters, Kayak VR Mirage for, umm, kayaking - the list goes on. All in all PSVR2 has had an astounding start and there's loads more bangers coming out in the next few weeks.

Resident Evil Village is an insane leap from RE7, which was a seminal gaming experience when it released, and a massive draw for VR. People forget that like 10% of people that played RE7 played it in VR - when you consider the game is on 2 generations of PlayStation, 2 generations of Xbox and PC, that's quite mindboggling and likely means people bought PSVRs for that game. The same will likely be true for RE Village and PSVR2 when you consider how much better it is now.

Does the demo experience differs from the full game because I got motion sickness pretty bad playing the demo

Eonjay568d ago

I played for like an hour before I had to take a break and considering the type of game this is you really should be taking breaks ever 15 to 20 minutes if you aren't a vet. There are also many comfort settings you can try to lessen motion sickness. The best way I can describe it is the way you feel learning to play FPS games.

You will get it but DO NOT push yourself. Start off in little bursts until you get your VR legs.

I played about an hour and a half with no issues. Did you alter any of the default settings like setting it to free turning?

FungLip568d ago

I used the default setting. Turning was fine but it was the going forward that got me. I had to move really slow. Free turning helps? I thought the default turning lessens motion sickness. Not ready to go back yet as I would feel like I’d just gotten off a boat for an hour or 2 after playing

Vanfernal568d ago

Yeah, don't use free turning lol. There are plenty of YouTube videos right now with comfort settings and tips to avoid motion sickness. I would check a couple of them out to see if any of those help you. I hope you find a solution that works for you!

Lol I doubt iPhone contributed much to that figure, the vast majority would have been PS5 and PC.

Yeah, of course the mobile sites are going to make news out of the couple digit in-the-thousands or so downloads as a major contribution. The original story was that Village hit the 10 million mark across all the platforms, nice for mobile fans to take it up a serious notch like it was due on behalf of mobile.
