That's a crazy number of units for a game from 2013 to still be moving. It's kinda funny that RDR2 looks 'bad' next to GTAV, but in reality, 46 mil is a lot more than pretty much every non-R* game.

Yeah, that’s a crazy number of units for a game from 2013, goodness. GTA5 just will not stop… I loved it on PS3-PS4, but I can’t bare to play it anymore, personally. Burnt out now haha. However, RDR2, what a work of art, and 46 million units is pretty darn awesome, even with the game being what 4 years old now?!

With all the success Rockstar has had with GTA5’s sales/online MP along with RDR2 in general I sure wish they’d go back to working on other iPs, and not just release 1 game every 5-8 years. Especially knowing the multiple R* studios they have and the talent, they could be crafting and releasing some amazing new games or revisiting old classics in the modern era more often than what they’ve done! And regardless of the climate nowadays Bully 2 is one I’d love to see! LA Noire 2, Agent seeing the light of day or them just making an exclusive for Sony nowadays would be cool.

I can’t imagine GTA6…excited for it, of course, but would love more from them like the old days, but those days are gone.

like most art, the ChurnButter simulator, err I mean RDR2, is gorgeous to look at but not for playing. The most disappointing sequel last gen alongside Ni No Kuni 2 (both 1st games were in my top ten personal favs of the last decade).

I disagree. RDR2 is gorgeous to look at, but also fun to play. Although definitely dated in its controls, and I understand many didn’t like the “Over the top” realism brought to guns/horses etc. involving management and so forth of said things. I personally didn’t mind any of that stuff, I enjoyed that realistic approach a lot.

I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed with it though, along with Ni No Kuni 2.

You know what is stoppable? Rockstar’s care for their other franhises

generic-user-name535d ago

How did they fumble the ball so bad for RDO?

gold_drake535d ago

thats an insane number fking hell

Demetrius535d ago

Bet only a certain amount was used for gta 6 and the rest in those upper management pockets lmfao the last original rockstar feel in a game was red dead 2

Ezio2048535d ago

Because it was the last R* game :D

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing692d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos2d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius2d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy852d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius2d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all

Mad Max is underrated. Such a fun game.

Cacabunga7d ago (Edited 7d ago )

RDR2 still looks astounding on PS4 Pro. i cannot imagine how it could look with a next gen upgrade.

JonTheGod7d ago (Edited 7d ago )

Probably not very different.

No idea why this article is highlighting recent beautiful graphically-advanced games and saying they need current gen makeovers. They already look better than most new releases; just compare Arkham Knight and Suicide Squad!

Yi-Long7d ago

It's obviously never gonna happen since Sony killed the game and studio, but Driveclub. Even in its current state, 10 years after release, it still puts many competitors to shame ...

Demetrius7d ago

I'm not into racing games but yeah I even looked at gameplay of that sometimes

Demetrius7d ago

Mad max ikr! Far cry primal, it amuses me how ubisoft just left ac unity hanging, sadly most of the good staff left from rocksteady while being forced to make that abomination smh
