WTMG's Leo Faria: "I am not going to try to tell you that Gotham Knights is a pristine superhero game devoid of issues, for there are many, but I really enjoyed playing it. In fact, I haven’t stopped playing it yet. Its story is fantastic, and the core gameplay loop is solid, whether you’re talking about a story-driven solo mission or yet another nightly patrol with some mates. It is not, however, a game that deserves the label of “next-gen only”, as its performance is outshined by many other PS4 and Xbox One games. This wasn’t enough to stop me from enjoying it. I’d dare to call it misunderstood at the end of the day. If you’re a superhero fan, and if you can understand that this isn’t an Arkham game, nor was it developed to resemble it, you’ll have a great time with Batman’s sidekicks."
Gotham Knights is set to be removed from the PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog alongside other games in October, 2024.
Lol, oh boy. I just bought the Dragon Quest Builders 2 Season Pass DLC last week, despite not owning the game on Playstation. I know it's a risk we are accepting, but it's just funny that the announcement of removal comes 1 week after buying. Oh well. Looks like I'll be buying the game. Again. I owned it on Switch, but my kids wanted to play multiplayer across the PS4 and PS5.
Gotham Knights was very bland. Losing the Dragon Quest games though is a different story.
I downloaded Gotham knights months ago but never played it. I guess I'll get it for £3.99 on PC and free memory up on PS5
The games for Humble Choice Bundle for the month of August, 2024, have begun to be revealed, and they include Gotham Knights.
Ahmed from eXputer: "Gotham Knights is considered a critical failure by Batman fans, but I think it's pretty good without comparing it with the Arkham games."
When it came to gamepass I thought it couldn't be as bad as people said it was. I was wrong cause it's terrible and feels very generic. Maybe it needed more development time and no live service crap.
It’s an average game and no matter how we spin it it would have still been an average game. Publishers chasing live service most fault but if it happens with natural growth it could happen. Look at helldivers 2 and than look at suicide squad. You have Harry Potter game generating 1 billion but WB still want to chase live service and they want future games from their studios to focus on GAAS
This one's not bad at all. Frame rate be damned.
Besides some framerate issues the game is fun.
i was really looking forward to this game, and i actually would have got it at launch, but the frame rate and other performance issues are unacceptable to me. will wait for a decent sale and hopefully they would have cleaned it up by then.
Playing on pc, using my 3080 Alienware machine people swore was trash machines been amazing. Runs this smooth 60+ and with my Gwynn monitor dont have any screen tearing. Now I can’t speak for the console experience but playing it on my steam deck it runs great as well and that’s 800p 30 so I’m sure 4K 30 high settings is great on consoles.
