I am not surprised at it's current state XGP is a great deal for gamers and not a big money maker for publishers

We have seen time and time again big game devs complain but I think for indie and AA games XGP might be a better option. Take two CEO said it outright that AAA games from 3rd party don't have a future on XGP(unless one of these console makers pay up a large chunk of money)

--Onilink--1051d ago (Edited 1051d ago )

You do understand that the reason for the game to appear would be because EA Play being integrated to GP Ultimate? And not because of any of that stuff you mentioned.

In fact, its actually guaranteed to eventually be on Gamepass because all the sports games get eventually added to EA Play (and bu extension gamepass) several months down the line.
He was just making the confirmation it wont happen at launch because of a marketing error

neutralgamer19921051d ago (Edited 1051d ago )

My point wasn't really about this game but big budget AAA 3rd party titles in general.

I think in the long run game pass will be a service that will have all the Microsoft games and many of the indie and AA 3rd party games. Every now and than if Xbox is going through a dry spell Ms could pay for a big 3rd party game

It's unfair to expect all games to be on GP. I wasn't bashing the service since I am signed up till 2024. Off course there is value to it for gamers but if I was running a AAA publishing company I wouldn't want my 100 million dollar project on GP or Plus day one. The initial 30-60 days of game launch are the most profitable time

What he is saying makes complete sense. This may not be a popular opinion

"We have seen time and time again big game devs complain" quite the contrary... we have seen big game devs acknowledge Game Pass. Any thought that Game Pass is not favorable to big games devs is simply false.

Spartacus101050d ago

When they day comes when publishers don't want their AAA games on the subscription, then just cancel it like most of us will. Until then just chill and enjoy it while it lasts. I don't know why so many people are upset about getting a good deal they admit won't last forever lol

People still playing this piece of sh@t??

46player1051d ago

That’s a Hell No, for me.

46player1051d ago

And I can confirm, it won’t be missed. Speaking for myself anyway.

Vits1051d ago

I mean that would be a huge waste if happened. First, because other than Americans, the public for this franchise is probably minuscule and second because it's going to be part of the Ea Play anyway.

EA says it can’t recover 60% of players’ corrupted Madden franchise save files

From Arstechnica: "A says that a temporary "data storage issue" led to the corruption of many Madden NFL 23 players' Connected Franchise Mode (CFM) save files last week. What's worse, the company now estimates it can recover fewer than half of those corrupted files from a backup.

The issue started last Monday, December 26, when EA tweeted that it was "aware of players experiencing connection issues when trying to connect to CFM." That problem lasted until Wednesday, December 28, when EA announced that subsequent server maintenance meant that "users should now be able to play CFM without issue.""

blackblades842d ago (Edited 842d ago )

Saves should be on consoles not online if it is then it should be on on both if it has to be online

Profchaos841d ago

Bingo and a cloud backup at most not a could only situation especially from EA

got_dam841d ago

Wonder how many more microtransactions this will sell.

Hofstaderman841d ago

But everything online is the future….

Zombieburger638841d ago

To be fair it’s EA, they ruin everything.

MadLad841d ago

I've never lost cloud saves via Steam.
This seems to be an EA problem.

Flewid638841d ago

There is no technology that doesn't break.

Hofstaderman841d ago

True but I just got off my PS1 playing Vagrant Story. My save from 2004 was intact on my memory card.
