Amazon addresses criticism of Lost Ark female representation

From Eurogamer: "Amazon Games has responded to criticism of female representation in Lost Ark.

Since the MMORPG arrived in the west last month, some players have expressed disappointment in both the gender locked classes and the prevalence of revealing female outfits.

In a statement to Eurogamer, Amazon Games' franchise lead Soomin Park has noted that changes on both issues are on the way."

It's a Korean developed game, so the designs are as expected. But, the gameplay is lackluster for me. Just a spam-ability-a-thon with, literal, multiple health bar boss fights being the only thing that will slow you down.

You probably never got to the point then where bosses get actual mechanics, makes the game way more fun.

You actually have to work with your team to prevent things like a raid wipe.

If the game requires me to group with others to become tactical, it's not worth my time. That's a pigeon-holed game concept that also revolves around relying on others.

Call it lackluster or w/e but youre wrong; its not a spam fest and healthbar is not the only thing that slow you down, game has mechanics (reason why many cry baby made Dev nerf raids) many are so similar to those on FF14 that a mistake from a party member is wipe; also many of those mechanics makes it feel like it was copied and edited ... difference is FF14 has more skills/actions (on lost ark you have only 8 skills at same time which you can edit so yea more variety) and FF14 is by targeting enemies on Lost ark its just a regular action rpg...

Also this is coming from someone who still plays FF14 since it was crap 1.0 and Tier 3 in Lost Ark, mobs on abyss are trash I will give you that (they should add a little strategy here and there even for trash mobs)

1. I'm not wrong. You're only talking about raid content that I never even reached because I was bored to death.
2. If it takes raid content to become tactical/enjoyable, it's not a game for me.
3. If it takes T3 in Lost Ark to see what you do, then they haven't designed a good game, only a (possibly?) good group-based end game.

All MMOs are about the endgame. So your blanket label regarding the gameplay is wrong. If you're playing an MMO then you know the good stuff is at the end.

I'd argue all MMOs are boring until the end...the gameplay is surely repetitive.

I don't like the game myself though. I too got bored.

This game is black desert online vibe with diablo perspective.

Same grind clusters of mobs,flashy combat, gender locked classes, thong and buttplug armor, very few armor skins, the usual korean f2p grind fare and pay to win aspects.

Just with added end game activities.

Nothing groundbreaking. Usual f2p release. Ppl will linger the first few months and then the typical korean f2p grinders will stay back. The rest will move on to better things.

I got terribly bored with the beta. I have been looking at the release footage and almost falling asleep.

If you have played this game, you'll know that there is not a lot of variety in the armor as you're leveling. At best you'll find another pair of short shorts that are a slightly different color. So this line:

"We are also including in some new outfit options that are not quite as revealing, but these are an addition and not a replacement."

Tells me that we are getting more content, not censored content. More options is good especially in a game starved for gear variety in the early game. Personally, I think running into battle in high heels, nearly topless, and with my characters ass hanging out is stupid. I don't mind seeing it (at all it's nice) but from an immersion standpoint it's completely ridiculous. I'm excited to have more options. If you're not, then just keep wearing the same gear, it's not being removed, this is a non-issue.
