Awesome Trailer, I must say so far I'm loving the Nex gen version, been playing on PS5 and it's pretty smooth... Game finally feels worth the hype... This is really stepped up from the PS4 version, Looks Awesome..

just_looken825d ago

i agree except the game still needs optimization the fact they used dynamic resolution and its not locked 60 with no 120 option kinda sucks.

There should be a 1440p locked 60 mode at least.

Lennoxb63825d ago

You rarely get 120 options in single player games.

MadLad825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

Take what you can get, guy. This is just a really demanding game. I have multiple PCs I use for different things, but I typically like to benchmark on them.
This is the first game I've come across where my 970 couldn't even provide a passable experience at 900p.
The new consoles are powerful, but there's always a limit to what they can do.

With the series X and Playstation 5 being comparable to higher end 2000 series cards in real world performance, I'd say they did a pretty damn good job with optimization as is. They may be able to squeeze a little more out of the machines with this one, but I doubt it would add up to much.

Hell, they got this running at native 1440p on the Series S at a solid 30fps with almost all the bells and whistles included. That one really impressed me.

Nitrowolf2825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

I mean if ur pointing that it not being locked at 60fps that should prob be a good indicator that 120fps isn’t going to be good

Fntastic825d ago

If you want high frame rates get a decent PC, next gen GPUs are just round the corner like Q3/Q4 this year and even the lower end 4060Ti should blow the consoles away. 4080 will smash them.

Welshy825d ago

Well that's just a given isn't it?

If the top end, brand new GPU's didn't blow away what will then be 2 year old £450 consoles i think there would be a major problem.

MadLad825d ago (Edited 825d ago )

@welshy

To be fair, the 3000 series cards are outperforming the current consoles as is. And that's even the 3060, the lowest end card. So these next offerings are going to make a giant gap to be had.
Hell, the 680 ran circles around the 360 and PS3, outperformed the base PS4 and Xbox One until it was just slightly weaker than the PS4 Pro, and a good margin by the One X.

It's not a good sign when almost obsolete tech is already outperforming the highest end console tech. Unless there's another console refresh, Series X and PS5 will be behind by three generations of graphical computing. Possibly even 4, before we're watching the release of the next Xbox or Playstation.

My gameplay on the PS5 has been smooth so far but resolution wise it doesn't seem it's totally 4k. On the PS5 the resolution looks much better when looking at NPCs compared to the PS4 version but some things in the background like the vending machines & other things in the background look somewhat blurry.

"official still not complete a year later, but we took your money and lied patch"

Bagr824d ago

Still lifeless hardly any cars on roads

darklaw824d ago

Honestly, this trailer looks just like the original one, this trailer should be about what has changed over the last few years, and what players can look forward too. I enjoyed the first version of this game, but why should I bother coming back?

Cyberpunk 2077 Director On 95% Positive Steam Rating: "Never Thought I'd See It"

I shelved it after a few hours in game at launch, glad I didn't refund it. One of the few games I've actually completed in the last year, and after finishing the campaigns I wanted to just jump back in from the start. They pulled a No Mans Sky and finished one of the best FPS in the last few years.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7218d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii18d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast18d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM18d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife17d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit17d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife17d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!

Well they are using unreal engine now thanks to there work culture and horrific job on making cyberpunk so for the future no impact.

But it will be interesting to see what mods will be made

7 disagrees shows how many look at one dlc that had a rip off fight from ghost in the shell and goes wow what a goat team i love cdpr while ignoring that they only made 2 games that were good witcher 2/3 in 20yrs.

But its a new world we want a criminal that support's legal murder as president/support shoplifting love toxic work environments and have a mass casualty event every other day.

GhostMirror29d ago

I’ll admit I didn’t play it at launch, but Cyberpunk 2077 is a really good game now.

And who the hell knows what you’re even going on about in your second paragraph here.

EazyC30d ago

Wait a min...I swear to god CP2077's source code got leaked before. CDPR needs to stop using "password123" for all their accounts 😅

just_looken29d ago

Na its hundreds ex employees no doubt just getting there revenge.

Profchaos29d ago (Edited 29d ago )

This is the same leak the threat actors have been trying to sell the source code after cd project didn't pay the ransom.

They didn't manage to sell the source code to any company largely because it would be unethical for say EA to buy it so the threat actors failed to find a buyer.

After they failed to make any money they went through with their threat of simply giving it away.
