If you own Uncharted 4 or Lost Legacy, you can upgrade for $10 and you will get both even if you don't have one of them on PS4.

There is no additional upgrade for the PS4 version on PS5 unless you pay $10 though.

Thank you. I haven't had a chance to play through 4 or Lost Legacy yet (I own both), so I might just pay the $10 so I can experience them the best way possible.

pretty perfect for me, it's always been in my backlog and didn't buy lost legacy because I didn't even get to 4 yet. So a $10 upgrade is better than buying lost legacy for me. Big win for me

Just to confirm it has been stated by Sony that the PS+ version is not eligible for an upgrade, just googled it.

Yes, you can upgrade the PS4 versions on PS5 when they release on release day for $9.99.

Also it's worth noting that there seems to a promotion at least there is here in the uk that if you buy the new collection or upgrade to it you can get a free ticket to see the upcoming film. I figure that ticket is probably woth more than £10 that it takes to upgrade tbh.

Looking forward to this, been waiting for the god damn 60 fps patch since the release of the PS5 lol , adding 60 fps to PS exclusives is a whole new experience and this is cause the high level of detail the PS exclusive games already have that is literally unmatched by the competition at this very moment.

I mean, it doesnt really stand up against the likes of R&C or other next gen exclusives, but it’s still a noticeable step above how it looked and performed on the pro.

3D Audio and Dualsense implementation is also in there. Not sure how important that is to you but I find those add quite a bit to a single-player experience.

Like you said though, if you already played them and got the platinum, perhaps passing on it might be the right choice for you.

Exactly. I'd buy the upgrade alone to see what the Dualsense is like. I too believe it's huge. One of the main reasons I'm really enjoying Death Stranding even more than the first time.

Yeh and the touch pad which is used for some puzzles (if I remember rightly....is bigger and more accurate on the new controller.)

I think Uncharted 4 was the very first 3D audio game to release. I remember it getting that advertisement at release. It's just on a console level now which is why it's promoted so much now

Sony is missing out not porting the first 3 UC games to the PC and PC players are also missing out on three good UC titles that were on the PS3.

Don't love having to pay $10 for primarily an FPS & resolution upgrade, but I'll begrudgingly do it. Cheaper than rebuying full-price to play on PC I guess. Then again, if $5-10 a game would be enough money to get Sony to go back to older games and update them I'd probably do it for most of them.

The fact that games like The Last Guardian launched with uncapped framerates by accident, was patched back to 30fps, and the only way you can play 60fps now is to run it unpatched off-disk (which means, among other things, no HDR) sucks. Or games like Shadow of the Colossus supporting either high-resolution or high-framerate. Go back & let us use both at once! Gravity Rush 2 screams for a 60fps mode! Do iiiiit.

I love Sony/ Playstation to death but early signs show that Jim Ryan is a bozo. I hope he does right by the Playstation legacy but I don’t have high hopes.

These updates should be free for previous owners and people who buy on PS5 should get a free PS4 copy.

Paying $10 to upgrade is taxing people for having bought a console to play their games as it is, IMHO. Sure, they did more work to update it, so does everyone who releases the games across both consoles at launch.

I think, bare minimum, they should go patch every game they can for 60fps for free. If they want to charge for more specific improvements, like 3D audio/DualSense/whatever little addition, go for it I guess. I mean, it looks cheap as hell, but at least I wouldn't begrudge them as much if they gave their customers who buy both their games & their hardware a benefit instead of a tax for a bare-minimum improvement like smooth framerate.

It's crazy that Sony are kind of letting their premier hardware become not the best place to play their own games. They either won't port PC improvements back to the main games, or force their most loyal customer base to pay a tax to get benefits. I can't believe they won't give GoW 2018 a few improvements, like bumping shadows or AF, on the PS5. I don't really want to pay the $10 tax for this collection, and I don't really want to rebuy on PC either, but I do want to play these games in improved form. Giving them money in any fashion feels like I'm sending the wrong signal.

I'm just disappointed in how Sony is handling some of this stuff. They used to feel pretty fair & consumer friendly - you could buy a title & get entitlements across PS3/PS4/PSP/Vita if titles supported all platforms, each having to be rebuilt for each system. But now we can't get basically a framerate & res bump for free when it is mostly running natively on hardware? I mean, this nickle & diming crap feels incredibly cheap, doubly so when you see how MS has been handling updates to current & past games. All free upgrades.

Feels a bit like Sony doesn't hold much respect for their history either. Old PS4 titles are practically forgotten. Gravty Rush 2, Order 1886, etc. all stuck in original framerates with no hope of update. Before PS4? Forget about it. No emulation, even easy stuff like PS1/2. If they can't get a buck from you, it seems they don't care. On PS4 they'd sell you PS2 games in an emulation container, but screw you for wanting to play games you own on there even when the solution to do so exists.

I hope they wise up over there. Love their games, but not loving some of their decisions of late. Sorry this became a rant lol.
