It appears that you cannot play Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC offline, after as a recent outage affected the Epic Games Store proved.
Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy may be headed to Xbox, though there is currently no active development taking place.
That's like me saying. Well Gears E Day is to playstation. No active development and I don't know if it's for PS5 or 6 or even 7.
Edit: Don't take any notice to what Jez says. He is a known to say BS. He was the one who was adamant that Microsoft are not releasing any Xbox exclusives on playstation and the rumours are all fanboy talk. Then a month later Microsoft announced the 4 games and then 6 months later we now know it's more than just 4 games.
Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core is already available for Xbox Series S|X. An annoucement of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy would be no big surprise.

I'm still waiting for the FFXVI announcement some blowhards were throwing around here....
It will be a long time before it does or if it even appears on an Xbox. No one knows how long Sony has the trilogy locked as an exclusive.
Twisted Voxel: "We compare the story in the original Final Fantasy VII and the new Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy."
PlayStation Japan: “A great sword that has been passed down from generation to generation and carries the thoughts of those who fight.”

Digital ”future” huh.
EGS basically means the game does not exist to me
Sucks to be them, DRM sucks, always has. PC has long had horrible practices that all of gaming should never adopt and yet here we are. Content-less discs, unfinished games, DLC hell, ship it now patch it later...but yeah PC Master race....such pixels, much frames. PC is great for a lot of reasons but the business model it typically rides on is pure trash.
They decided to buy a game on Epic Games Store. They don't deserve any pity.
Epic should still be punished for it, though.
