Tekken 7 Definitive Edition Steps into the Arena Today

Tekken 7 has been growing steadily since its initial release in 2015, so much so that it could be argued that difference is practically day and night now. So, it might have been difficult for fans to decide when exactly they should jump on board. Well, perhaps now is the right time.

Never picked this up because of all the DLC, and even 6 years after release they couldn’t be bothered to release a complete edition with all content included.

Fighting games are destroying themselves and their communities. Yeah, their hardcore fans will invest from Day 1 and (probably) buy the season passes, but at the same time they’re completely losing their mainstream audiences who see they’d be buying an incomplete game, so they just shrug their shoulders and pick up something else instead.

It’s hard to get excited for a day one release of a fighting game. I learned with Mortal Kombat and Injustice, that you can wait a little longer for a “Complete” edition to come out. Back in the day, the complete edition was the game you bought day one.

Yet Tekken 7 and NRS fighting games are examples of games that launch with fleshed out content to cater to a large variety of audiences. Compared to say SF5 that launched in a really barebones state, you're getting a quality product on day one. For more casual players, they may find this a problem but fans of the games are happy to see them get supported for years after the initial release.

Well said. I absolutely love tekken and have yet to buy 7 for this reason. Plus a few others like not being able to disable supermoves and use handicaps.

It costs like 30 bucks on pc with all dlc. And while its single player modes are weak, Tekken was awesome in the last years thanks to T7's excellent gameplay and online modes.

Tekken 7 is a massively feature rich title but please at least make it one x upgraded

I’ve been waiting for this lol. I bought tekken7 at launch but I didn’t really dive into it. I didn’t buy any of the dlc besides the preorders. There are always good deals on the editions but the “complete edition” didn’t even have all of the characters. It’s still going lmao… that support is impressive and I will be buying this if finally f***ing done lol.

Release a physical with ALL the content on the disc(s) and I will buy it at full price for the second time. But digital?- No deal

I never understood the logic of that form of protest. If anything, it increases fossil fuel consumption by forcing a lot of vehicles to idle until the road is no longer blocked. I’m all for protesting a cause one believes in, but I would think people would want their form of protest to at least make sense.

yeh, its quite dangerous too, cause u never know if anyone needs medical attention or not.
