Square Enix released a new trailer of its upcoming mobile game Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, which is coming in a few days.
Square Enix has announced via Twitter and its official website that Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier will have its service terminated on the 11th of January, 2023 at 07:00 UTC.
I mean it is a battle royale, so being mobile did give it the best shot possible to not be a failure.
But, Square-Enix lack of a marketing department striked again.

just look at diofield chronicles and valkyrie profile elysium. You'd hardly know both those games came out recently because of Square's lack of marketing effort. So it's not shock that first soldier suffered

it was alot more conplex and a console release would have been much better for the controls

I'm not talking about controls here. Especially because I agree that anything is better than touch inputs for an action-focused game. But market-wise mobile is the place for a new battle royale.
I had no idea what this game was about, nor what type of game it was. I just saw the game by chance on somewhere.
Hopefully it's a lesson leaned and they will put Ever Crisis day 1 on consoles as well.
Welp, that was quick. I played a few games and it was alright. I did enjoy my Cactaur costume, though.

I expected a flop and I haven't heard anybody talk about it.
My friend says it's really good but honestly, it's the FF BR game nobody asked for and mobile too.
Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier's second season has begun, and it's introducing some new content and features into the mix. Featured most prominently are a new boss in the form of Bahamut and the new "Dragoon" style.
If it was Hitomi Tanaka MAYBE I'd play.
