Terrible performance cripples what should have been a great collection on Nintendo's platform.
GTA The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has received a graphical upgrade; here's how it compares to the original.
Surprised they kept at it. Since Take 2s CEO keeps yapping so much B's I figured they'd leave it as is. They do look nice, even tempted to get em myself now.
Does the graphical update fix things like the AI produced signs that aren't even in English?
Worse still though, it appears as though The Trilogy has been abandoned by Rockstar and Take Two Interactive.
By today's standards, I'd argue that being half assed, having a couple patches, and being abandoned and ultimately left still half assed is infact up to standards.
The Definitive Editions of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas look better than ever according to fans
I've checked it out and there's a toggle there for original lighting when that's on you get the sun saturation back orange hues of San Andreas and tons more atmosphere in vc.
Seems to be a huge factor you lose dynamic lights and the overly out of the box he engine feel and the whole thing seems more artistically driven.
I hope this comes to the actual console and ps release eventually
Better to enjoy the games on PS2 least they weren't a pile of shit.
Out of curiosity what is the issue with this trilogy. I was looking to buy it cause san andreas is still my favorite and I've been itching for it. Is it broken?
Lazy effort all around with these games, how can this look and run that bad even on Switch? Near 20fps, what a joke, even the original Xbox versions ran at a solid 30fps didn't they?
A stylized from the ground up remake could've been done with the amount of money this series gets. Just the laziest effort and 60 bucks ontop of it all smh
It's a disappointment on every platform and in every way, but the graphics are nice, not considering the characters in SA. People who grew up with the games don't feel like playing because of how outdated the gameplay is, and new gamers who are teens now probably won't play it because the gameplay to them is as weird as a VHS.
This is why companies shouldn't be rewarded for intentional mediocrity.
