Nintendo has blocked two Switch consoles from playing an online game simultaneously through account sharing.
Ty at Aussie-Gamer writes: "n March 2016, Nintendo will switch from a fairly fragmented account system to one unified account that will span across all Nintendo devices current and future. It will also launch a brand new loyalty programme called ‘My Nintendo’ to replace the discontinued ‘Club Nintendo’.
Since the word ‘Nintendo’ is being heavily featured in all these changes, it can get a bit confusing. Of course, there’s still ‘Nintendo Network ID’ to worry about. To help out, we’ve put together a quick guide to understanding the new account systems. Here we hope to point out some of the features of each to help ensure you get the most out of the changes."
All I really care for is for Nintendo to enable the ability to access your NN account and all your digital content across multiple consoles and handhelds instead of just being locked to one hardware.
I'm hoping the ways to earn points will expand as they go.
Currently we don't have a clear idea of just how many different tasks there are, and how repeatable they are, for earning the two different kinds of coins.
This article gives us a basic idea, but doesn't really go as in-depth as I wish.[not that that's their fault, lack of information considered, but still]
NE: "Excitement is in the air. You can almost taste it.
Last night, Nintendo opened registration for Nintendo Accounts. This morning, pre-registration for their upcoming mobile app Miitomo opened. In reality, these are small events; while yes, we can register/pre-register, neither service is currently operational. There is nothing we can actually do with our newly registered accounts.
Yet it’s exciting. There is a reason social media blew up when Nintendo Account registration went live. While it doesn’t change anything in the present, it’s a sign of changing times."

*AHEM!*
A month or so from now, people will see the start of these new services.
And when the services don't immediately have every feature they've ever wanted/expected of them, they will call them failures and Nintendo will be called a doomed out-of-touch company by their detractors again.
And then when the services DO get some of the features they want, they'll brush them off with cries of "too little too late" instead of giving them due credit.

Maybe if people got this idea that Nintendo is just a video game maker into their head unlike Sony (entertainment) and Microsoft (online) who have vast experiences in those departments, they would understand why Nintendo has had difficulties getting those into its console.
Much of Nintendo’s new membership reward program, My Nintendo, remains a mystery. However, thanks to a small line in Nintendo Account’s “Delete Account” option, we know that My Nintendo will be implementing some sort of Mission system.
Wait...
Am I the only one that thinks that sounds like Nintendo's giving us side quests?
Is this for real? Is Nintendo adding an RPG element to an account system IRL?XD
In all seriousness, though; it's probably something like "play this game for this many hours to get this many gold/platinum points" or something.
