ill get this game when its a PS+ free title

Cant wait

Abnor_Mal1460d ago

How true, dont forget about Ghost Wire Tokyo.

itsmebryan1460d ago

@UnSelf
Maybe not. Microsoft owns the company and they have no reason to give it to PS customers for free after the timed exclusive is over.
Have you heard of a reason Microsoft would give a game to PS+ for free?

Elda1459d ago (Edited 1459d ago )

That can be a long wait & knowing it's a Bethesda title it may not ever be a game that lands on PS+. There are many games to this day that haven't made it to PS+.

DOMination-1459d ago

Damn straight, If these guys aren't going to support PlayStation moving forwards then they aren't getting a cent from me no matter how big or small their file size is!

purple1011459d ago

I see your point. This game is just the type of thing that ends up on + a year or so later. Even being Microsoft owned they will still take Sony's money for it to be a freebie. Probably in the millions and they get a whole new flux of people interested.

Eonjay1459d ago

This is fascinating. If we can get all file sizes this small, it automatically makes the SSD seem twice as big.

Rimeskeem1460d ago

I was not particularly happy with the low storage amount of the PS5 but this compression tech really makes it look bigger now.

SullysCigar1460d ago

Same. Now it's suddenly the most generous of the new consoles in terms of how many games it can hold at one time.

chiefJohn1171460d ago

Or the game simply lacking in content.

Darkborn1460d ago (Edited 1460d ago )

Probably all cut out during the suspicious second delay like 3 days after Microsoft bought them.

itsmebryan1460d ago

@Darkborn
Why would Microsoft have anything cut? The better the game , the more people buy it, and the more money they get from PS customers. That's an extra money stream they never had before.

Darkborn1459d ago

To give the Xbox customers the better version a year later and to sell dlc to the playstation customers at the same time.

itsmebryan1459d ago

@Darkborn
PS5 owners are going to pay and Xbox owners are going to get it gamepass at no extra charge anyway. Why make a inferior version for PS5? If it's bad than people won't buy it. That doesn't make any sense.

King_Noctis1459d ago (Edited 1459d ago )

“ To give the Xbox customers the better version a year later and to sell dlc to the playstation customers at the same time.”

How does that make any lick of sense, business-wise for MS? Did they just wake up one day and thought: “Ohhhh..we had just bought Bethesda. Let cut Deathloop’s content so we can annoy all the fanboys on N4G even if it might make the game bad and result in less revenue. WAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!”

Smh.

Now that is a reasonable file size. Thank you, other devs and publishers take note, especially Activision

anast1460d ago

Cut content and it's a Doom-like. Bethesda isn't pushing any boundaries here.

NeoGamer2321459d ago (Edited 1459d ago )

You do realize Doom Eternal is 60 GB right?

anast1459d ago

Yeah, it's a shame too.

RaidenBlack1459d ago

This is Doom-like? You serious or what?
The only thing they share is the first person perspective.

anast1459d ago (Edited 1459d ago )

It's an FPS like Doom, like Skyrim/Fallout, like Wolfenstein ...a Bethesda game or a Bethesda production. When was the last time they did a 3rd person game? They've been doing this for generations. Nothing new or novel, just Bethesda doing Bethesda. Doom being Doom. I bet this game will be middling at best. Metacritics will hail it as the next coming and the users will give it a 7. This game will get a few months of hype then get buried by good games. If not, I have no problem being wrong.

NeoGamer2321459d ago

@anast
From what I have seen it will not be GOTY. But, I don't think it will be a 7/10 either. Probably more like a 8-8.5.

There is nothing wrong with them doing their games in First Person mode. That is the way they like to do their games. These developers invest a lot of money in their game engines. Bethesda has decided their engine should be first person.

RaidenBlack1459d ago

@NeoGamer232
Just a little correction, Arkane is not using id's id-tech engine this time around for Deathloop. They're using UE4.
But I get what you mean. Dishonored 2 was made using id-tech engine.
And Arkane has mostly made first person games, wayy before Bethesda buying them.
They're former Looking Glass Studios, the creator of immersive sims i.e the famous System Shock(s) & Thief(s).
Of course they'll make first person games.

DOMination-1459d ago

Bethesda Game Studios titles can be switched between first and third-person whenever the user feels like.
