Like a burnt-out pickup artist, his trade tricks don't carry the same success rate; and yet, my expectations are higher than simply improving in increments from CrazyBunch's flaccid first try. Dry Twice is another example that sexual faux pas and double entendres aren’t as impressive in modern gaming without the writing and gameplay to carry them. Until that changes, I think these new entries will always feel like sloppy seconds."
Indeed! Assemble Entertainment owns the rights and they published a 'soft-reboot' of the series with Wet Dreams Don't Dry. This is the sequel.
This game and the first one are was really awesome. You should play it.
Meh. They're passable experiences when considering the inventiveness of other point-n-click adventures.
From PSU: "Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice delivers exactly what you’d expect it to; sex-based jokes and puzzles that integrate that. Even with expectations set there, it’s somewhat unfortunate that it serves up such an underwhelming blend of puzzling and puerility. It is at least a passable point n’ click effort that occasionally elicits a genuine chuckle."
William writes: "All in all, Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice is a decent second (or is that 9th?) round with ole Larry Laffer. The game is not going to be for everyone, but what is here is ultimately enough for a more polished, if less inspired, experience."
I can't believe this is still around, I remember playing the original back in the 80s, and the original original text based version before that, softporn adventure I think it was called
