They should do a "Lost Legacy" type game with Joel and Tommy at the start. See why they hated each other and the brutality they committed to survive. I'd buy that day one.

SullysCigar1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Hell yeah, always up for more TLOU. Would love a bit of back story for 2, akin to Left Behind or the parts with Drake & Sully or Drake & Sam in Uncharted 3 & 4!

But before then I want that new TLOU multiplayer game, please!

TricksterArrow1458d ago

Me too. However, I can alredy see Joel's widows crying that this scenario is just to make him look bad and justify Abby.

Deathdeliverer1457d ago

@TricksterArrow

You deserve more credit for that because it’s so damn funny 😂 He said “Joel’s Widows” I am literally dying over here. Y’all gotta stop crying about that man and realize just because he was good to y’all doesn’t mean he was good to everyone else.

goldwyncq1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

It should be Tommy in Seattle during those three days, with flashback segments in the past when Tommy and Joel were surviving together.

generic-user-name1458d ago

This, and I even get the feeling that's what they were going to do, TLOU 2 sets it up almost too perfectly.

RosweeSon1457d ago

I’d pretty much buy anything more from this universe that they would kindly give us, campaign wise anyway 🤣✌🏻 Was always hoping they’d do a season pass (not a terrible Ubisoft one) 3-4 hey 5 even I’m greedy, expansions on say Yara, Dina of course, Jesse, I think all the characters introduced were strong and had great back stories to tell. Would love an extra 3/5 hours with a selection of them would be fantastic. But doubtful 😏✌🏻

Underdogs? Jesse was a useless character written to die, and Dina was even more useless written to be used a awful plot twist and used to show that Abbie is a better person for not killing a prego chick.
No, I think if there's any story DLC made it should focus on a character not related to the events of Part 2, or maybe take place in California. California would probably be more interesting actually.

Christopher1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Love interest of one of the protagonists who can't stop them from seeking revenge no matter their love or support and the catalyst that shows the depths the other protagonist will go to stop the one seeking revenge is useless in the storytelling of the game and you can't use characters to show their interaction with one another or how one another does or does not affect the lives of those around them unless you approve of it?

I'm going to go out on a limb and just say I'm not going to take your advice on storytelling ever again.

Inverno1458d ago

Never said I have to approve anything. I just don't think those character contributed much to the story. I never really saw much love between Ellie and Dina specially with the dialogue between the two in the first hour which makes it sound like they never had much interaction outside of em being in the same room as Jessie. Dina was still sleeping with Jessie too so how much love could she have had? And there's about a 2 year gap that we don't see at the end of the game where Ellie's relationship fleshed out more. Jessie was around for about an hour in the game and aside from him trying to talk Ellie out of something, failed then got shot and that's it for him.

Just my opinion I don't claim to be some expert in writing, but these characters weren't nearly as fleshed out to me to deserve story DLC dedicated to them.

Christopher1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

You went from "useless" to "weren't nearly as fleshed out" real fast there. I replied to you calling them useless. Glad you changed your mind.

And, to the idea of them not being fleshed out, that's pretty much the same for everyone other than the two leads. They are there to add to those people, not to be fully fleshed out on their own. Kind of the same thing we experienced in the first game entirely. Kind of the same thing we experience in most games of the same type.

Inverno1458d ago

No no, when I say useless I meant not fleshed out and vice versa. As individual characters they weren't fleshed out but as part of the whole nerrative they weren't much of a use. I liked Jessie even tho he wasn't shown much, tho perhaps that had to do with him giving me a Glenn vibe and Dina had a small moment in the synagogue which had me interested to know more and I would've really liked it instead of dumping her at the theater and making her prego she would've accompanied Ellie longer and it would've been more of a "strength of love" kinda thing written for them.
I get that in the end they're side characters but there isn't really a standard that needs to be followed right? They could still be fleshed out and be more involved in the story. But to me Dina was an interesting love interest that was underutilized, and Jessie was practically Ellie's best friend and was also very underutilized. Jessie followed after to try to bring em all back and right there was some character development for him but then he's just shot in the face an hour later, and that personally disappointed me.

Christopher1457d ago

***No no, when I say useless I meant not fleshed out and vice versa.***

That's not how words work.

And I honestly believe you're creating an issue with something that is common in storytelling one shots. Either that or you only read Tolkien or Herbert. But, I'm certain you enjoy stories in other games that do the same thing.

While I agree that the DLC should be about something or someone more interesting, Jesse and Dina are fine characters on their own. Side characters by design, with no real lasting appeal aside from great performances by their actors (a staple with TLOU, though), but that's fine, the story wasn't about them.

Agree 100%. Jesse and Dina struggled with their codependent relationship with a certain toxic personality. They aren’t that interesting on their own.

I would play any DLC or stand alone, but I I would really enjoy a Seraphite DLC.

The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered 2025 PC 4K (No DLSS) Incredible Forest Graphics

CG says: In this video, we take a look at the same forest section on horseback in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered that we showcased in 2020 on the PS4 Pro. It’s an amazing bit of exposition with not much happening aside from a bit of banter. However, taking it slowly rather than galloping past, the forest graphics are actually pretty detailed. One of the more beautiful moments from the game. PS4 Pro version holds-up pretty well (that output was upscaled 4K and back then, there was no DLSS or AI interventions that we know about).
