Phil Harrison, VP Google Stadia, writes: "Creating best-in-class games from the ground up takes many years and significant investment, and the cost is going up exponentially. Given our focus on building on the proven technology of Stadia as well as deepening our business partnerships, we’ve decided that we will not be investing further in bringing exclusive content from our internal development team SG&E, beyond any near-term planned games. With the increased focus on using our technology platform for industry partners, Jade Raymond has decided to leave Google to pursue other opportunities. We greatly appreciate Jade's contribution to Stadia and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. Over the coming months, most of the SG&E team will be moving on to new roles. We’re committed to working with this talented team to find new roles and support them."

Big surprise. What a dumb idea it was to launch a platform and then open studios to make games for it. They should've had those studios opened and had launch games. You can't expect people to buy in to your platform when it's obvious your not bought into it as the company selling it.
On another not poor Jade Raymond. She hasn't done anything since leaving Ubisoft all them years ago. She went to EA only to have that studio shut down and then to Google to have them shut down her studio.
And there goes Jade Raymond... well, can't say I'm shocked that this system never got off the ground. Can't say I'm sad either.
This doesn't mean Stadia is going anywhere, just that they won't be making games themselves for it. It'll just become a 3rd party delivery service from now on. I don't see it lasting.
