Koei Tecmo Announces Record Quarter; Hyrule Warriors, Nioh 2, & Atelier Ryza 2 Shipments Revealed

Today Koei Tecmo announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020, and they were very strong.

HW:AoC - 3.5M
Ryza 2 - 220k
Nioh 2 - 1.4M

Nioh and Nioh 2 were both a success. Some tried to say Nioh 2 was a flop, how wrong they were.

hopefully ryza 2 sells better than the first. I like the atelier games and even though they're making them more streamlined, it's better than them being completely gone.

Great nioh did well considering it was an exclusive and of a genre that not too many ppl would enjoy.

I disagree. The genre has never been more popular. A million in sales is good for a new ip imo. I think if they marketed it more in the west it would sell better. Also when it launches on pc I expect sales to increase quite a bit.

It's not as great when you realize how low the attachment rate is considering how many PS4s have been sold

I think Ryza could sell better in the West. And next month Persona 5 Strikers comes out.

It took Hyrule Warriors: AOC a month to become the best selling musou game ever. Insane. Its may not be my favorite warriors game but it earned it. Kinda surprised they haven't announced a season pass yet. These warriors game almost always have them.
