Gamers all remember where they were when Square Enix announced Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 4. No, that's not Final Fantasy VII Remake, that's the PC port of 1997's Final Fantasy VII. When speculation and hype were at their highest for the supposed remake project, Shinji Hashimoto took to the stage at PlayStation Experience 2014 and trolled the PlayStation community by revealing that the PC version of the original game would be coming to PS4. Six months later, Final Fantasy VII Remake would become a reality, but at the time it felt like the biggest insult imaginable.
Why isn't Square Enix listening to its fanbase? Why is it trolling with a PS4 port nobody wants? As it turns out, this was the plan all along, but even some of Sony's own employees were trolled by this reveal.
Nintendo has announced its financial results for the full fiscal year, alongside an update to Nintendo Switch shipments and more data, including a prediction for Switch 2 hardware and software.
well, the switch 2 has two holidays in the us, thanksgiving and Christmas.
so id say its fairly possible. the rest of the world will also grab them
Switch and Switch are a different kettle of fish. A sell out at launch by the diehards, strong sales, then the non diehards will be put off by the £75 ($99) games, including the stupid download cards which are topping £65 ($85). Not rocket science to work out how the Switch 2 is going to pan out. The PS5 has sold well, but games at £70, sales have been low. As game sales drop, prices will rise. Sony could knock out all their games for £40 and still make a killing selling more games. There's no denying that a gaming crash is looming.
Not paying for something that's not worth more than the price it was advertised, which is $449 - $499.
Today, Bandai Namco announced its financial results for the fiscal year between April 2024 and March 2025, alongside its future strategy.
EA just hosted its quarterly financial conference call, and its executives have been asked to comment about the recent price hikes for games.
Haha he really did a legendary troll that day
I can see Max's face lol
Let's leave Square Enix to square enix. It certainly beats EA's dogsh!t E3 presentations.
“Why is it trolling with a PS4 port nobody wants?“
Go to hell with that notion. Plenty of people still valued this port. People especially liked how it got ported to other platforms as well later on
I appreciated a version of this game on consoles with HD resolution, analog stick support, Trophies, and being able to turn off random encounters and play at 3x speed make it my favorite version.
After finishing this game I don't think I'll be playing anymore of them. That was quite possibly the most distorted and dumb last half of the game that I've ever seen. Which was kind of sad since the rest of the game was actually really good and was mostly true to the original.
