This month's EDGE reviews include a bit of a rough score for Final Fantasy VII Remake, plus Streets of Rage 4 and more.
PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers are now able to claim the monthly games for June 2024, which include SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever, and Streets of Rage 4.
Maybe for you mate lol Streets of Rage 4 is a banger, especially with 4 friends in couch co-op. And SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a great platformer. AEW is very poorly rated though.
I've been playing... it's below average. No Mercy still has a better career mode.
Streets of Rage 4 is fantastic, for anyone who hasn’t played it yet. I bought a copy of it when it came out; first [and last] time I ever pre-ordered a game from Limited Run. It’s a must play for any fan of beat ‘em ups.

Oops. Thanks for clearing that up. Even now, when I click on it, it takes me to June 2022. Nobody else is being directed there? I must have a wierd cache glitch or something (in addition to being oblivious to which year I'm living in).

Come on already square always on about this stuff. Half the game is done the story and all is already there , I imagine they'd take a couple things out. I can't imagine these days they'd leave the dog fighting in. Not that the player bet on it or anything but it was there
I think because it’s easier to make grand games in pixel art rather than model everything in 3D as well as the amount of espers, spells, cutscenes, animations and whatnot it’d be a huge task to remake.
I'd prefer a HD-2D remake, but we're not getting that, I probably wouldn't want a remake like FF7R.
Give me ff9 and 10 remakes first and I'll be over the moon!
Those are my 2 personal favourites, although at this rate ff16 is quickly going to eclipse them both, which I mean I knew 16 was going to be good, but game of the gen so far and fav ff ever at this rate I wasn't expecting that.
Just love to see ff back in the spot light big time and it will only continue with ff 7 rebirth

it doesnt look bad at all and is still suer playable, but more ffx is always a good thing for me, i go through and play it atleast once every 2 years hahaha
FFX could just use a remaster update with higher res textures and stuff, a remake on that game would be a waste.
DO IT! They've been re-releasing a lot of their old games though, so maybe we can get a remaster or remake of those in the future.
Lol, EDGE always trying to be so "edgy", FFVII:R succeeds not only as a remake but also as a stand alone game, almost finishing my hard difficulty playthrough for my platinum run I'm actually surprised by the amount of content, the easy to pickup but hard to master very deep gameplay mechanics (once you start playing around with builds + combos you'll be amazed by what you can do) and the ways the expanded the first part of this story.
They also gave Nioh 2 low score. Xcom is getting lower score by everyone though. These opinions sure screw meta and then sales and then bonuses
