I went through the whole game up till that point without it. That way the rest of hard mode was still hard and challenging. Though I do highly recommend having this item for chapter 17 and 18 on hard mode. Only reason I was able to beat the last boss.

You don't have to play the chapters in order. That goddamn Bahamut fight had me grinding my teeth, but that necklace definitely comes in handy at times, especially if you're just trying to clean up whatever you have left to do.

Typical pile of trash, many games do this, a powerful item after you beat the game, what to do with it? put it where the sun don't shine? Ah! i remember good old days of gaming just like donkey kong 2 on super Nintendo, you had main game and could finish the entire game without problem, if you choose to collect all secrets the game rewards you with secret levels that can only be opened by those tokens, in modern games everything is accessible and at the end of the game they throw a uber item to put it you know where, i'm not a maniac to replay a game 10 times in all difficulty modes or trophy addict, also collectibles and stupid side quest without meaning need to die in games, out of ideas and short game? make us collect garbage a? this is lame. The industry is full of copy paste.

I got it long before I completed hard mode. I haven't even completed hard mode yet. Got a lot of chapters still to go through.

Well this is the first part of the game, we don't know what will be carried over to the next part. My worry is having an item like this carried over to the following parts to continue the FF7 story, wont that make you massively overpowered? I'm already worried about having all the -aga spells so early in the game. In the original it took forever to get those spells, from what I remember too playing at a normal pace without massively grinding you wouldn't be anywhere near level 50 when leaving Midgar.

I'm really looking forward to the next part, but worried how it will be balanced.

I am sure we will be going back to Lv 1 with no items on the next game unless they make the rest of the game expansion packs to this one.

The obvious solution to people beating the game already without this is adding in newer hard modes. After hard mode, it should just keep getting harder. More enemies, more HP, etc. Maybe even mix it up with randomizers even.

Got the Platinum trophy a few days back.
This item makes hard mode way easier than intended.

I really liked this “remake” so don’t jump down my throat....but....I miss the turn based combat, or at least help with the blocking and juggling lock on’s with multiple attackers. I had no issues playing on normal. Definitely went into fights not ready and leveled and barely got the win, which to me is soooo FF. That feeling that comes from being one hit from death and getting that last hit in to hear that beautiful crack and you know I did it!!

It just feels crappy getting locked out of cutscenes which adds to this story that we all loved. I get putting items behind Difficulty even though in my opinion by time you get those items you are completely done with the game. The place this game has in heart...I just wish the ratio of people getting a platinum on this game is .02 percent of those who play it.
