I ditched my PC for GeForce Now and Steam Link to see if it was worth it

My Steam Link is fantastic for when I play VR and I want anyone else in the room to be able to see what I am doing. Outside of that, I would never play the majority of my PC games on my TV.

So I have a good honest review on this matter. I beta tested GeForce Now about a year and a half since it's release and it is very impressive. Since launch I went ahead and signed up for the founders subscription for 5 dollars a month and enjoy it. My main gaming PC is a i7-8700k 32gb ram and a GTX 1080. So decent rig. I have tested GeForce Now a number of computers from my rig to a laptop with an i-5 chip 1050ti 8gb ram down to an Optiplex 3020 and all run fine. I have tested it on mobile too, Google Pixel 2XL, data and wifi, both do well at my location. Latency has never been an issue connection has sometimes been an issue but rarely disconnected from services, maybe 3 times in now 20 months of trying it. Game library is pretty good especially since I love my Ubisoft games and most are on the streaming platform. The only thing with the game library is I wish there was an actual browsing list of all games made available. Hands down though GeForce Now is a great service to use gaming or non gaming computer. Will I ever get rid of my gaming PC? Probably not, but not because of GeForce Now. I still use my gaming PC for the Unreal 4 Engine which takes a beefy PC plus all the indie games that are not available on GeForce Now like Escape From Tarkov that have their own launcher.
