Activision Forces Adverts into Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone Loadouts

With the launch of Call of Duty Season 4, Activision quietly put adverts inside loadouts for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, sparking a backlash in the process.

This game will never change because these sweatlords love buying up all the skins and bundles that become obsolete the following year. They're the ones perpetuating Activision's greed.

If Microsoft introduces adverts into its other games I hope it can do them without disrupting the immersion of the game world. So for example in the new Fable game it would look out of place if there was a billboard advertising Cadillacs.

A far better way to do it would be to have a wizard conjure a 'dream cloud' in front of your character and then in the cloud you can see the Cadillac car and see the text with price and availability and hear a booming sales voice promoting the car. That would work so well as it wouldn't be a billboard and completely, 100%, fit in with your character's adventuring in Albion. Doesn't that sound so much better?!

This is why gaming is constantly going down hill. You have companies like this generating the biggest revenue and leading the charge for more "Innovative" ways for them nickel and dime the change from your wallet.

If they could find a way to implement a "Pack Opening" mechanic in their game like its 2K I'm sure they'd do it in a heartbeat.

For me cod died from ghosts on the recycled ending in ghost felt like Activision spitting in the face of fans who enjoyed their stories.

They took all the animations of MW2 and ported that to ghost like hey here it is what a joke it was a literal reskin.

Then we had the sci fi crap they took a boots on the ground military game and made it star wars.

2019 me reboot did bring me back it was short lived though maybe it was just lockdowns I guess.

This was always going to happen next game will feature a brand name on prices cigar and you'll be chasing bad guys in a Porsche or something

But the multiplayer is a joke these days fornite fucking Cheech and Chong two peace loving hippies shooting at each other next to snoop Dogg and god knows what a crook of shit

Are we really surprised by this?? This is the same company that laid off 1900 people and shuttered multiple studios in an effort to maintain executive incentives and bonuses. GREED runs deep, and it comes in the form of microtransactions and in-game ads. Vote with your wallets people.
