How many times do they need to overhaul the landscape textures? There are a hundred mods that all do the exact same thing.

Sadly that's what happens when a game is released half-a$$ done and they never release a sequel in 10 years. Bethesda games are always a great and a bad story at the same time.

MadLad1923d ago

I'm just hoping they don't simplify the series even further with 6.

jivah1923d ago

Wasnt there something said about continuing to use the same old ass rickety engine for Elder Scrolls 6? Either way expect the shit to continue

Kados1923d ago

@jivah:

Yes. Bethesda said they will use the same engine for TES6, because the mod community is used to working with it and would supposedly be annoyed at having to learn a new one. Total BS explanation that basically admits they are releasing half-assed games and expecting the community to fix it for them.

I'm going to sell a painting with only the base colors finished and tell my customers they have to do the rest.

MS could compress their games on disc

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg18d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan28d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher57d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast55d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic56d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee56d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator56d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast55d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
