There's a nod to Monty Python & The Holy Grail that you can find in the Witcher 3 while you're procrastinating instead of searching for Ciri.

Sometimes I don't understand how topics like these can be worth writing an article about. I mean, if the game just came out, and you had some other easter eggs to put this one alongside, okay... but like this? After such an amount of time? It's a wiki entry by now, articles like these are just a waste of space and time.

MadLad1931d ago

I wrote for a number of sites over the years. The good ones let you do your thing, and put out content at your own speed.
Some of them put ridiculous weekly quotas on you, thus needless articles like this are often seen.

Especially egregious that 90% of games sites like this don't pay you, leaving it up to you to figure out how to get paid through the work, while still requiring a consistent base workload from you.

MadLad1931d ago (Edited 1931d ago )

I guess I'm not understanding the disagrees. That's how the gaming journo landscape has worked, concerning online sites, since the early 2010's.

If you disagree on my issues with mandatory quotas on unpaid work are perfectly fine, at least make an argument for it. Otherwise I'm just being honest about what it looks like for a writer for gaming sites looks like, unless you got lucky and ended up for one of the handful of bigger companies that manage to still exist.

Glemt1931d ago (Edited 1931d ago )

That's a very good point. Free writing is always better than quotas, especially if it creates stuff like this.

In reaction to what you said below:
Don't mind the agrees and disagrees, they are completely arbitrary. You could write your own experience about something and people would still disagree even if that is impossible. : P

I mean, even in this thread Terry_B wrote a completely valid sentence:

"Well, its known since years and many websites wrote about it..years ago. "

Someone still pushed the disagree button on this. You can't disagree with this, it's not an opinion, it's fact! People use this agree/disagree system in a completely nonsensical manner at times.

Agree.
Just imagine how many people will be shocked when they be playing ff7 remake and find that aeris die early. Can't wait to see all those articles and social media posts, and petitions to bring her back...

Well, its known since years and many websites wrote about it..years ago.

What year is it?

A switch 2 update might be a nice way to celebrate it for people who brought the switch 1 version

4Scarrs_Gaming32d ago

This is exactly what I was thinking too.

It will be for a price. unfortunately not like the PS5 where a majority of them were free.

anast32d ago

Cool, can we get a controller sensitivity option for the PS5? Geralt going full sprint when I barely touch the controller is keeping me from playing this game a 3rd time.

I would have included the Uncharted games as well. Good list though.

Yui_Suzumiya58d ago

Island would be #1 but that would be anything from Frontwing.

Haha it is not lost on me that two of the games in the top four were already novels before they were games

Actually just picked this up yesterday on Steam, since it's $9.99 for the game and all the DLC. I've owned it for years on Playstation, but honestly never put a whole lot of time into it. Though I knew I had to play through it one day because I loved what I did play. It runs so buttery smooth on PC. Still a really beautiful game with everything maxed out settings-wise at 4K.

Damn man that’s a long ass wait for a game you were feeling good about. I beat it the first time over 9 years ago
