Quantic Dream and Koch Media have partnered together for the upcoming physical PC releases of the critically acclaimed games Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human in the Nordics, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
While not free, still feels like immense value. If you buy a years sub when it's on sale, it works out to like $3 a month which is nothing.
With BC becoming the standard now, the PS4 PS+ games that release and have released can be played anytime on the PS5/6/7 etc. as long as you have a sub. That's great value considering the offerings get better as the PS4 nears its end.
@CaptainCook You saw the quotation marks around the word free, right? So yeah you can stop beating that dead horse now. Or if you're so butthurt, yes, it's "free with PS+", as in WITHOUT ADDITIONAL PURCHASE FEE WITH PS+. Happy?
I tried both, honestly. They had them on PS Now, so I gave them a chance. I got bored of the mechanics of Heavy Rain almost instantly.
I took to Beyond a fair bit more, but eventually shelved it.
When Detroit hits PS Now/humble, I'll give it a shot. Just giving it the old college try, it's becoming clear I'm just not big on Cage's works.
yeah thats fair man. Detroit is kind of a different beast entirely but it does still have its slow moments.
Ive always loved everything he's done since Indigo Prophecy but they arent without their issues. Heavy Rain's plot holes in particular.
All-in-all though i did have a ton of fun getting invested in the characters and playing around with the different story outcomes (Detroit is CRAZY with its branching paths) and they were all technical marvels for their time which you have to respect a bit. And even if the ending of HR is kinda crap its still fun getting to it
I dunno, all im saying is i get why people maybe dont like them but i love them all for reasons that i cant explain lmao
It's more graphically advanced but it's gameplay is still basically the same in lots of ways i prefer the story of beyond more.
I gave up on Detroit about half way through because the story just wasn't interesting in the same way that heavy rain and beyond captivated me I played through both in a day
It's funny how console exclusive games are prised by fanboys as the best ever. Then they come to PC and reviewers/gamers don‘t see anything special :) https://www.pcgamer.com/hea...
Heavy Rain metacritic scores: PS3 87, PS4 78, PC 75
Graphics were way above average in original release on PS3, explains the higher score. Yes people are suckers for graphics.
I find Ellen Page insufferable now after the whole Jessie Smollett sage and her disgusting self righteous rant on one of the leftist propaganda late night talk shows.
I really try to separate the art from the artist, but when it comes to sexist, racist regressive celebrities that don't know what they're talking about I find it very hard.
I do agree with this statement. at the time of Ellen's comment she was unaware of the farce. which eventually back fired at her. there is no denying though that her comment which i thought was very disrespectful to Stephen Colbert on his show. which made the mistake of selecting a well known comedian and showmen to deliver a shock SJW message. very disrespectful and at the cost of effecting her own credibility.
MLB: The Show, an exception, with a licensing stipulation. What are the other Sony owned franchises coming to other platforms that aren't PC? Just accept it. Want to play PlayStation games? Buy a PlayStation or, for the occasional game, build a PC.
Physical PC releases are fine for collectors I guess. But ultimately it is just a box with a key inside. I guess you could use the physical media to install, but a lot of PCs these days don’t have optical drives.
Will they be playable without the Epic Game Store Launcher?
Wish I could get behind these games, but I find them monotonous chores, honestly. Slowly getting through Beyond, mainly due to my love for Ellen Page.
Heavy rain only issue was the weird control for walking. Wish they changed that on the ps4. Great games from a great developer
They should bring them to Xbox and switch. Detroit is amazing
Heavy rain and Detroit are amazing, stand the test of time.
