I am playing the game for the first time this week and wow it's very outdated. The shooting system is bad. The acting is very very bad. Very overrated developers they didn't adapt well to current gen so sad the gane still feels like a ps3 game. Hope they improve huge time but i will pass on their next game.
they need to either be acquired by bigger company and get help because they do have good idea but are behind technical wise by themself.

in my opinion, i can never be wrong. So let's respect it. I am hopefully saving people from doing the same mistake i did. Beware of this outdated game. I have seen better acting on porn movies from the 80 thats how bad this game its wow

I will play and finish the game its not unplayable but very overreacted. I play the old ones on the ps3 and it was Good enough but this game haven't aged well it feels like the old games but more open. Outdated.

I played it on my X1X on a 4K HDR 65 inch tv, and it looked great! Fantastic game!

Seriously what kind of TV do you have? It doesn't look at all like you said! Seems with all the down votes you have, it is either you or what you are viewing it on. Maybe on the OG Xbox One it may look washed out. Or if you have a dated TV with no 4K HDR and an OG xbox One that might look bad.

I am playing it on the pro in a series 8 Samsung.
Its my fault i came from playing Horizon then GOW and the standard they set made this game feel outdated . Not saying it a bad game. But i guess i shouldn't let myself go by users who love the game despite it flaws and it has many. Who care about people disagree. Those are losers who have nothing better to do. I wont buy a nintendo console or a xboxone when it was very bad in every way but 50million got a current gen xbox that doesn't mean they were right they just have a poor cheap opinion. Settle for less and saying metro is a amzing game visually amazing is settling for low standards. Let them be let them give me disagree that wont change the fact

What's the cost of entry in the wonderful world of Ray tracing? It hardly gets a mention

To build a rig from scratch? $1,500 is probably your best entry level per frames/resolution, and settings.
Average build is about $2,100 (without os, keyboard, mouse, or monitor) for respectable frame rates @1440p
With mid 2020 and new products releasing every 6 months, you could probably get a better deal soon.

Pushing 4k/ray tracing into a $400 box is why we're never going to get respectable frame rates on console.

It ranges, it's a newer technology so it's not necessarily cheap to access. They do have more affordable entry options available, just keep in mind that there's a high demand performance wise in order to run the ray tracing. It depends on what sort of resolution targets you're aiming for, or what your current rig can handle/if you're starting fresh.

I'm not convinced ray tracing is worth the hit to performance. Tried it on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and was not impressed. Maybe it is better on Metro, but unfortunately, the writer doesn't even mention performance although he gives his PC specs. Just a weird article.

It was more about what it looks like as the ray tracing has been available for awhile, assumed performance had been handled a few times prior by others. It's something to keep in mind for future write-ups. It's quite a thing to see, but it is very costly. In Modern Warfare I gain 20 fps by turning it off, I get that you might want more fps.
